Slow Cooker Honey Apple Pork Roast is a crock pot recipe that has amazing flavour and is Paleo. Made with ginger, cinnamon, apples and honey - it's simply delicious!

  • 2 lb pork shoulder roast
  • 1 yellow onion sliced
  • 2 apples cored and sliced with skins on
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1.5 tablespoon raw honey
  • 2 garlic cloves {peeled cut and smashed}
  • 2 tbsp freshly grated ginger {or ground ginger}
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp bay leaf flakes
  1. Add your broth to your slow cooker and add in this order: onions, pork, apples.
  2. Add to the slow cooker your honey, garlic, and spices
  3. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours {if you have a smaller roast, cook for less time. You don't want it to dry out and you do want some juices left when done}
  4. Remove from slow cooker and cut, serve with a spoonful of the mixture on top. Or use forks to shred your pork right in the slow cooker and mix to serve.
