While it just officially turned to Autumn this week, in my part of Canada it’s felt like fall since the start of school. All you lucky peeps in the East who keep summer weather for a bit longer, we already have snowflake icons in our upcoming forecast. Boo!
If anything is going to jumpstart fall prep, snow warnings will do it.
I feel like I just got routine and structure back into my days with the start of the school season, and now I’m frantically trying to prepare my home for fall and winter. Gotta love life’s curveballs, always keeping you on your toes.
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post from Hoover. As always, all opinions are my own.
Get Fall Ready with Hoover OnePWR
I feel like this post title is so appropriate, because this year I’m better armed when tackling the chaos that is fall prep. It’s all thanks to Hoover OnePWR.
For whole home {inside and out} clean compatibility, this OnePWR range includes a vast number of products that are all powered by the same lithium battery. This means that if one battery is charging, you can easily use a waiting battery from another unit. This is handy because it limits the need for managing multiple batteries, chargers and cords.
One battery powers them all!
While they all will be used all year long, there’s two from the OnePWR range that specifically help me with my fall prep.
Hoover OnePWR Cordless High-Performance Blower
It’s not going to come as a shock to you, but leaves fall this time of year. For that a homeowner needs a leaf blower, because who’s got the time or patience to clean up leaves without one?!
I have to admit to being skeptical of the Hoover OnePWR Cordless High-Performance Blower. There’s some big boots to fill when it comes to products like these. As in, if I’m going to use one, it better work as I’d expect it to. Or else what’s the point in having one, and just not a second hair blow dryer?
Verdict: Point taken, new fine friend, you are high-performance. Colour me impressed.
It’s equipped with a heavy-duty turbo fan for all-out power, with speeds up to 95MPH and 270CFM. Specs and technical jargon aside: let’s just say that its weight is evenly dispersed {yet still lightweight!}, the handle is comfortable, it has a variable speed trigger, and it blows as intended.
Not only am I able to blow all the leaves in one corner of the yard for easier and faster fall cleanup, but I’ve also blown the dust and fallen debris off the deck. I didn’t even have to move the covered BBQ, it cleaned the mess that blew underneath effortlessly.
Not only this time of year, but I’d say once a week I blow out the garage as well, it’s amazing the amount of dust, dirt and leaves make their way in. Not just for leaves, it’s a cleaning sidekick that all homeowners should have.
Yet the main key feature to love about this Cordless High-Performance Blower, is that it’s cordless and has interchangeable lithium battery with all your other OnePWR products.
Hoover OnePWR Wet/Dry Cordless Utility Vacuum
Another OnePWR product that is a staple in my fall prep is the Wet/Dry Cordless Utility Vacuum. Because summer literally regurgitated all over the inside of the vehicle, and that mess isn’t invited into the next season, thank you very much.
Small garbage, wrappers, hair ties, sand, dirt, leaves … you name it, it’s inside my vehicle. I’m giving the side-eye to you my children, and that little dog too.
While I clean the inside of my vehicle often, now is a great time to do a deep clean {reasons already stated. Ew}. That huge wet-dry vac that I have {and loathe}, is tethered to a cord and pulled on wheels all around my vehicle. It’s Snuffleupagus-sized and awkward, and I don’t pull it out as often as I should for those reasons.
Needless to say, the first thing that I immediately loved is that the OnePWR Wet/Dry Utility Vacuum it CORDLESS! Also, it’s so lightweight and portable that cleaning is faster and less of a hassle. By a long-shot.
It has a 11L easy-empty tank, which is just the right size. It makes me wonder why Snuffleupagus’ tank was so large, as if I want to keep and carry that for a dozen uses. No way, I’ll empty after every use thanks.
While I absolutely love this for both wet and dry messes for the vehicle, it can be used to clean up other areas too. For instance, those patio cushions or a wet/dry spill inside the home as well.
Another great feature is that you can switch to a directional blower for versatile cleaning. You know those hard to reach places where your vehicle seats are attached to the vehicle itself? Those places that drive you mad in trying to clean? Blow it out, suck it up. Easy peesy!
This Wet/Dry Utility Vacuum comes with a Crevice Tool & Utility Nozzle, yet I wish it also came with a brush attachment too. I would have found one helpful for getting woven-in human and pet hair out of the vehicle fabric. Not having one wouldn’t deter me from getting or using this though, the benefits far exceed my wishlist. Fingers crossed, Hoover. Until then, yes I’m scouring my other Hoover products, hoping I’ll find one that is compatible.
Again, no cord and a universal battery complimentary to my other OnePWR products. It’s also so much smaller to store in the garage, which is a bonus feature that I’ve come to appreciate, because garage cleanup is also part of fall prep. In total, so much work this time of year, but it helps when you have smart convenient products to get the job done quicker.
The HOOVER OnePWR range is sold exclusively at Canadian Tire, yet you can also get them online at Hoover.ca and Amazon.ca.

We have a two big trees in the front yard and a couple at the back. However, both side of the neighbors have a lot of trees (including the one across the street too) so when it’s windy, a lot of them are landing in our yards. Usually for fall time, we have to constantly collect the leaves if not it will be too much to get all done at one time. This will certainly comes handy to us. We have landscapers that look after our lawns and leaf pickup in the front but we look after our own back yard and flower beds. This would be really handy to clean up around lawn furniture and and tables etc in the back yard. These products would definitely help me with the leaf and patio cleaning, as well as cleaning our cars and garage.
Christine Topley says
I’ve already begun my fall preparations which include cutting down perennial plants that have died off and getting my gardens spring ready. The grass is still growing and will definitely need a few more cuts before I put the lawnmower away until the spring. I do leave some leaves on the ground that they are good hibernating havens for insects and other small critters but I have to rake an endless amount constantly once the trees start to shed. Raking kills me. I have a huge property in the country and the raking is endless. A leaf blower would make my job so much easier, not only in time but in the toll it takes on my body. With all the outdoor prep that needs to be done, I haven’t even thought of getting to the vehicles yet ( one car and a truck). I don’t have a vacuum of any kind so I use the head of a broom and a dustpan. Doesn’t get as clean as I would like but it’s better than nothing. Would be great to have something better to make the job easier and get things cleaner.
LILLIAN BROWN says

As much as I love the colours of fall I absolutely hate the cleanup. We bought a John Deere mulching lawn tractor about 10 years ago and we use it this time of year to mulch all the leaves that fall on our yard and with 20 plus full grown (and still growing!) maple, oak and whatever the others are we definitely appreciate not having to rake and bag them all. Been there, done that. The only bad part is that with 2 dogs we have no end of the mulched leaves brought into the house every single day until the snow comes. Having the ability to clean them up with a cordess vac would be awesome. They are also in the car, under the seats etc and that’s where that handly dandy blower would work wonders!
