  • 2 bags butterscotch chips
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt, optional


  1. Line an 8" x 8" pan with parchment paper (or foil) and spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, add the butterscotch chips, sweetened condensed milk, and pinch of salt. Give it a stir and microwave on high for about 50 seconds. Stir and microwave again for 15 seconds. Stir and it should be completely melted. Add vanilla and stir once more.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Refrigerate for 2 hours, or until firm.
  4. Once the fudge is firm, remove from the pan with the parchment and peel parchment from bottom of fudge. 
  5. Cut into pieces and enjoy!

  7. This looks quick and easy, but it does not say what size butterscotch bags? Please help.

      1. By usual size bag is that an 11oz bag? Also could you use the same recipe with peanut butter chips?

  8. I don’t think that I have ever had butterscotch fudge. It looks positively delicious. If I can find the chips, it will be made before this Christmas.

  10. It looks so smooth. I’m pretty picky about what fudge I eat, but smooth is good.

    1. I have froze it before and it’s been fine. Make sure to place in a tight fitting container. I like to layer with parchment in between so they don’t stick together.
