6 Must Have Spring Cleaning Products

When spring-like weather hits, so does a zap dourf spring fever and the need to nest. It’s a time when we want to refresh the home with some purging, beautifying and cleaning up the area in which we spent the bulk of the previous season. It feels so good to open up the windows again, and breathe fresh air even when you are indoors.

Household cleaning is a chore that not everyone enjoys doing {hands raised}. Yet with the right cleaning tools, the job can be done much easier and efficiently. This guide contains simple must have cleaning products so that you are prepared when spring fever hits you. After all, it’s frustrating and time-consuming to waste the energy on shopping when you have that motivation to clean.

6 Must Have Spring Cleaning Products

Vacumn – I’m going to assume that most if not all of us have a reliable vacuums already, yet if you are needed a new one soon, choose one that gets into those hard-to-reach {and often overlooked} spots. Long-reach wands are great at eliminating dust bunnies on baseboards and in tight corners, or in the bends of stairs and on high ledges.

Duster – Choose one with a long handle so that you can get in between and behind those areas which might not see regular cleaning. Think: behind the TVs, the back of the fridge, and on top of photo frames and moulding.

Gloves – With all the scrubbing you’ll be doing during a spring clean, keep your hands and arms dry and protected. Choose a textured palm to avoid slipping, and be thankful for using them when you don’t have pruney, dry or irrupted hands and nails after the job is done.

Bucket & cloths – Make sure to have a large capacity container that can be used for cleaning, even fitting a mop. I like to use microfibre cloths when cleaning {both the scrub and to dry} as they have superior pick-up and can dry without leaving lint or fibres. As an added bonus, microfibre cloths can also be used with sweeper products instead of purchasing costly disposable ones.

Disinfectant Cleaner – This is a must-have yet one which is left up to your choosing. Pretty much everything like bathroom sinks, kitchen sinks, countertops, and tables all require cleaning with some sort of ‘cleaner’ whether that be a brand-name disinfectant or simply a vinegar and water or baking soda and water mixture.

affresh® Dishwasher cleaner – One thing I always do during my spring cleaning regime, is to make sure I clean inside that I use affresh dishwasher cleaner. Actually, you should be using affresh every month for optimal performance, yet did you know that only 25% of Canadians have cleaned inside their dishwashers in the last 12 months? I bet if you include using affresh in your spring cleaning chores, you’ll ensure to use it monthly thereafter – the difference is amazing.

Using affresh® is a simple, cost-effective way to power away hard water and mineral deposits to keep your dishwasher working its best. You can use affresh either with an empty dishwasher or one filled with dishes ready to be washed {it’s gentle on dish ware}.

Aside from the beauty of a clean dishwasher, another perk is that affresh does the work for you. With all the scrubbing and manual cleaning we do during this time of year, it’s nice to have a no-hassle product on our side that involves such little effort on our parts.

Isn’t it funny how most people don’t even think about cleaning the thing that cleans their dishes? Gross. I have to admit I am often guilty. Looking forward to trying this product out. Great list.

We have terribly hard water with our well. I haven’t seen this product before, but I’ll keep an eye out for it when we go shopping tomorrow. I have to get spring cleaning products for the new house. I love my extension handle duster.

Spring cleaning is a great time to address those usually forgotten tasks such as cleaning the dishwasher or washing machine. I could not survive without my disposable dusters or vacuum either.

I always have to have magic erasers, they are lifesavers to scrub showers and tubs.
I’ll have to try the Affresh dishwasher cleaner. I’ve used a different one and it worked just ok.
