Sears 12 Days of Giving

Happiness is how my kids’ eyes literally light up with pure excitement when they spot a house with beautiful Christmas lights. It’s that first taste of sugar cookie white hot chocolate, and cuddled up on a cold night with the fireplace and christmas tree lit. It’s also so heartwarming when companies host give-back initiatives during the holiday season. Yes, these are the things that truly make me smile right now.

The one-stop Holiday shop for gifts and décor, Sears Canada, is currently holding a 12 Days of Giving initiative which started on December 1st. During these 12 consecutive days, Sears is giving back to different organizations all across Canada.

For instance, today is Dec 3 so it’s ‘Beauty Gives Back Day’. For this day, at all 95 Sears department stores in Canada, there are beauty workshops and personalized beauty consultations, and special offers for all attendees only. Tickets are just $10, with $8 going towards your cosmetics or fragrance purchase and $2 directed to Look Good Feel Better, supporting women with cancer.

This is just one example, yet during 12 Days of Giving, different organizations will benefit on each day. Others are Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada, hospitals and Military Family Resource Centres. Check out Sears12DaysOfGiving.ca for a full list of daily activities along with photos and images from the events of each day, and also features a photo-stream that will be updated daily. Keep an eye on some of these daily events, as you might want to head into your Sears store to check them out {anyone care to win their entire baby registry?}.

If you are also on social media, follow @SearsCA on Twitter and the hashtag #12DaysofGiving for pictures, videos and more from each event.

12 Days of Giving is something that makes me smile this holiday season, yet since their initiative is going to reach so many all across Canada – I know I’m not the only one.

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post for Sears Canada, yet as always – all opinions are my own.

I like that they have different themes. Sometimes so many people deserve accreditation that it’s hard to know where to start.
