I fell madly in love with guacamole while on my first trip to Mexico. I’ve tried making my own at home since, yet never liked any of them too much. Mine always tasted rather bland and bland isn’t something you want in a dish.
I know, I know, the real deal is always better right? Yet I really wanted to make a good tasting one at home. If anything, to sit back with eyes closed and pretend I’m in Mexico. Especially in the dead of Canadian winter.
When I landed on a Kraft Canada recipe called Greek Yogurt Jalapeño Guacamole, made with the new Philly Jalapeño – I had to give it a try. Turns out, this is the best tasting guacamole recipe that I’ve had in a long time. The spicy taste is amazing.
I didn’t get mine as smooth as the photos show, yet I was rather impatient and gave up on mixing too soon I think. Yet you can’t blame me, you can smell each and every ingredient while mixing. And I was eager to give it a try!

Greek Yogurt Jalapeño Guacamole
Greek Yogurt Jalapeño Guacamole is the best tasting guacamole recipe that I've had in a long time. The spicy taste is simply amazing.
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain low fat Greek-style yogurt
- 1 cup Philadelphia Jalapeño Cream Cheese Product
- 1 fully ripe avocado
- 1/4 cup chopped Vidalia onions
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 Tbsp . fresh lime juice
Instructions
- Process ingredients in food processor until smooth.
Notes
SERVING SUGGESTION
Serve with grilled flatbread or tortilla chips.
SUBSTITUTE
Substitute light sour cream for the yogurt.
