New Zincofax Spray in Canada

It seems like both a lifetime ago and just yesterday, that my kids were babies. Having had twins plus one, I’m pretty knowledgeable when it comes to the necessities of parenting. To this day, I could confidently walk through any baby section of a store and point out the must-haves products.

Not only do I have 3 children, but the experience of raising twins also brings further knowledge of those products that truly make life easier and more comfortable for all. (In case you are wondering, no, you don’t need two of everything when raising twins.)

The pack-and-plays are long gone, and there’s no traces of highchairs or swing (notice ‘swing’ isn’t plural). Yet there are a few remnants around the house; some products that I’ve used since day one, and ones that are still needed to this day. For instance, my twins haven’t worn diapers in years, but I still have diaper rash cream on hand at all times.

While irritation and redness occur predominantly in the diaper-wearing stage, whatever the cause – from weather to coarse fabrics – diaper rash ointments are required even for older children. Even at six years of age, my girls still require some skin TLC for comfort and health from time to time. They still need that protective barrier to prevent infection when their skin is irritated.

Since the day they were born we’ve used Zincofax from Paladin Labs. I used this paraben-free product with my first child with great results, and continued using it for the twins as well. My own experience aside, this highly trusted and #1 pharmacist-recommended diaper rash treatment has been providing relief since 1945.

Available in Original, Extra-Strength, and Fragrance-Free formulas; Zincofax has just launched Zincofax Spray, a new spray-on diaper rash ointment. The new Zincofax Spray is the first OTC-branded diaper rash spray-on ointment in Canada.

To use, shake the bottle well before each application. Hold Zincofax Spray a few centimeters away from the skin, aim, and press the spray head liberally at the clean and dry diaper areas as needed. For optimal coverage, apply ointment in an even layer over the skin surface. If the pump becomes blocked, rinse with warm water.

After using Zincofax Spray, I found it to be a convenient, mess-free alternative to applying diaper rash ointments. Providing soothing relief via a specially-formulated ointment that is enriched with zinc oxide, Zincofax Spray is very easily applied to the skin without leaving a messy residue on your fingers.

When diaper rash flares, having to rub in a cream sometimes made it worse before it got better. In such a tender area, the friction of application would make both my kids and I wince. Zincofax Spray solves that issue with gentle no-touch application, making it more comfortable on the child and the parent.

Plus, one benefit to Zincofax Spray is that it’s great to use when on the go. Last time we travelled, I brought our Zincofax cream with us, since the changes in weather and constantly being in the water usually cause irritation for the twins. Having a spray would have came in handy, so next time we partake in family travel, it’ll be coming with us.
