Juicepresso Slow Pressing Juicer

Juicing is one of those things that has always caught my interest. For myself, the allure was the ability to get all the good stuff into the body in one drink {I am so terrible otherwise}, and for the tremendous health benefits of slow pressing.

There are powerful antioxidants in fruits and veggies that help prevent cancer, strengthen your immune system, and boosts anti-aging effects. As well, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and live enzymes from fruits and veggies have preventative effects. The best way to get these super nutrients and natural taste is with a fresh cup of juice from a slow pressing-masticating juicer.

The first thing I learned about juicing is how essential it is to get ‘the right juicer’ for the job. Know this: all are not created equal. In fact, some brands have jumped on the ‘craze’ and developed juicers that don’t do the job as intended, leaving consumers that saw a frugal price – with nothing more than a grinder or blender.

I have taken notes for quite some time on the best juicers on the market, even going so far as to note why they were highly recommended {and yes, they do come at a cost}. Keep in mind, I have always said that it’s the bang for the buck that matters, and I don’t mind spending more on a quality item that is awesome in every way intended. Or else, you’re just wasting that hard-earned money in the end.

So, when Juicepresso contacted me to review their NEW to the Canadian market, cold-pressed juicer – I did some research before accepting. In order to recommend a juicer to my audience, I had to be sure that it was one of the ‘right ones’, not only for myself but I want the best for my readers as well!

Well my friends, Juicepresso is one juicer that very much deserves to be on your radar.

juicepresso assembly whats in the box

The Juicepresso by Coway is very simple to assemble and operate. Newbies like myself will appreciate the supplied and detailed instructions on use, cleaning, recipes and more. After only a few minutes looking over the information, I was juicing.

Om the suggestion of a dear friend, I got out some carrots, apples, spinach, cucumber and a small piece of ginger. Recommended foods for juicing is a whole other post in itself, yet I very much suggest that anyone take the time to know which foods you should and should not be juicing. I love this post that lists the Un-Juicables.

juicing with juicepresso

Not taking up much space on the counter {some juicers are gigantic!}, the Juicepresso slow presses with a 40-rpm motor. When using Juicepresso, alternate the foods between textures so they work together in the juicer. As in, don’t shove all of one food in there, alternate until done.

The gently squeezed result is masticated food right down to the last drop of juice, so that the drink contains all the enzymes and nutrients possible. Yet, you could go farther and make more than juice. With Juicepresso you are able to make soups, pancakes, almond milk, organic baby food, etc. You can collect some great recipes on the Juicepresso site too.

Juicepresso has a patented one-piece extraction system, a three-in-one extractor system which merges the auger, strainer and rotating brush components.

The components are dishwasher safe and easy to clean, thanks to the included small cleaning brush. I also love that it’s very quiet, another key feature of the Juicepresso. It’s even quieter than my single serve coffee maker.

If you or someone you know would like a juicer for Christmas, it’s a great time to get one and a great way to start those healthy changes. I am very much impressed with my Juicepresso in many ways, and would recommend it to anyone. In Canada, you can get your Juicepresso at Sears.

I absolutely LOVE juicing! You should really try adding a small beet next time. So good!

I’ve heard of that but I hate beets. Yet, this might be the only way I eat them. I’ll try it!

You won’t even taste it! That’s what I love about juicing. It’s a great way to include veggies in your diets that you wouldn’t normally eat. 🙂

I’ve been interested in juicing for a long time, too, but have avoided it thus far for the same reason you stated – that quality of equipment does matter, and I’m on a shoestring budget. Good do know about this one! Thank you for sharing.

Oh how I love juicing! I like how compact this juicer is for those of us who never have enough counter space — mine is enormous. :/

Ooh Juicepresso sounds awesome! I love the idea of juicing, but haven’t whipped mine out in over a year. I didn’t like it very much and found it hard to clean. This one sounds awesome, I will have to ask Santa for one 😉

What I love about this is it isn’t HUGE. I have little counter space, so my juicer has to stay on top of the fridge, which is a bit inconvenient. May have to trade mine in for this one.

That sounds like a nice juicer! Especially i it’s easy to clean and use, unlike the ones that requite a college degree to operate.

This looks great. I have a large juicer that is noisy and extremely messing. I can’t remember the last time I used it because it is such a hassle to use!

this sounds like a great little machine. I don’t have a juicer but have been contemplating buying one but they are all so big and I don’t have much storage room in my kitchen, this seems to be a much better size for me. I didn’t even know there was a difference using slow juicing, sounds like this produces a much healthier drink.

you are so right that you would just be wasting your money if the item you purchase is cheaper, but doesn’t do what you want or just plain sucks. I made this mistake a couple of years back with a food chopper that now just sits hidden in the basement.
