The best gifts are those from the heart and from the hands – I’m talking about Edible Gifts! With so much money being spent during the holidays, it’s nice to bring giving back to the basics and focus some energy on making items for those you appreciate and love.

I do spend a lot of time in my kitchen, even beyond the usual family meals prep. I enjoy baking, it’s a time to break from the usual chaos of the day and even to have some fun with the kids and cute aprons.

I love the idea of making treats and goodies for others and packaging them up with ribbons and holiday gift tags – it’s gifts like these that always bring smiles to others. For those recipients that don’t bake much, it’s a most welcome surprise and for those that do – it’s a chance to try a new recipe.

Last year I made quite a lot of White Chocolate Cranberry Fudge and gifted it to others. It’s a recipe that myself and my readers have enjoyed all year long actually.

This year, I already made Peanut Butter Cookie Balls. While this particular batch didn’t make it to the wrapping stage {so good!}, I do plan on making more to use as Edible Gifts. Both of these recipes come from the Kraft Canada website, a fantastic resource for so many Edible Gifts.

I seriously have the site pinned to my browser because I refer to it often, and I plan on making more of their recipes in the next couple of weeks. No, I don’t have that much time on my hands, and that’s the beauty of the recipes found on the site – so many require just a few ingredients and take no time to make.

Edible Gifts can take less time than going out shopping, and are homemade – and you just can’t beat homemade!

Want a ton of DIY {and delicious} gifting ideas?

Yum! I love to give (and receive) sweets this time of year. I love the inclusion of cranberry in your fudge. I can’t wait to try it.

Gift from the heart are the best. I make my traditional fudge and caramel corn. No one ever complains, in fact the remind me about 3 weeks before Christmas to make sure my friends are on the baking list.

I fixed it, but cannot delete my old RSVP, 251 is bad. 255 works!
