Toy Story is one of our all-time favourites and I’m pretty sure it’ll remain that way for many years. The first feature-length computer-animated film and the first theatrical film produced by Pixar – it broke molds and raised the bar for future animated films. Admit it, you can’t resist the characters in Toy Story!
Yet, somehow we missed seeing Toy Story of Terror when it premiered last year. Luckily, you can now get it on Blu-ray and DVD – sure to be a popular one for the Fall. So, stick this one on your list for b-days to holiday presents!
What starts out as a fun road trip for the Toy Story gang takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the trip detours to a roadside motel. After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate in this Toy Story OF TERROR!
“Toy Story OF TERROR!” features the voice talents of original “Toy Story” cast members Tom Hanks as “Woody,” Tim Allen as “Buzz Lightyear,” Joan Cusack as “Jessie,” Timothy Dalton as “Mr. Pricklepants,” Don Rickles as “Mr. Potato Head,” Kristen Schaal as “Trixie” and Wallace Shawn as “Rex,” along with series newcomer Carl Weathers as “Combat Carl/Combat Carl Jr.”
Toy Story of Terror really is such a cute short animated film, it’s nice to see the gang together again, along with some new characters. Since it’s not full-length, this one is perfect for the kids to watch while making dinner or when in the car – sometimes you just don’t have the time for a full length animated feature!
The included bonus features are great as well, my kids and I never fail to watch them all when we get a new Disney film. We especially like the three short cartoons and the vintage toy commercials.
With all the bonus material and the short animated film – you really get the bang for the buck with this one. If you and your family is a fan of the Toy Story films, you can’t miss Toy Story of Terror!
