If there’s one thing us Albertans know when it comes to food, it’s beef. Alberta beef is world renowned and simply delicious. So it only goes without saying that when we BBQ – there’s some beef on that grill.

At home or even out camping, just our family to entertaining in the backyard – burgers are made by us often. You simply can’t beat a good burger with some classic sides – it’s all part in celebrating summer.

What do you put on your burger?

Sometimes we go the ‘easy’ route and serve the usual toppings for burgers: lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles and condiments.

Yet lately we’ve been trying to jazz up the usual, while still holding true the traditional toppings that make it such a mouthwatering meal choice.

My husband and I came up with an AMAZING burger recipe which we like to call ‘The Albertan Burger‘, stocked FULL of everything you’d love to have on a burger.

Think: 2 kinds of cheese {1 infused into the burger}, a mayo relish sauce, bacon, crisp and 2 kinds of tasty Bick’s Pickles and more.

Stacked high, this Alberta Burger is one that is sure to be the highlight of any backyard BBQ.

Here’s our recipe, it won’t be a summer well spent unless you try it!

Haha now that is so true about us in AB, looks just like our burgers except we have cheddar, monza cheese combo. Going to try your sauce we just use thousand island or mayo, sounds good.

I love ketchup and lettuce on my burgers. If lettuce is not available than potato chips. There is something about the crunch that makes things taste better.
