Garlic Shrimp

If you like this recipe, check out my Thai Shrimp, it has an amazing Peanut Sauce that you’ll love! Yet for ease in both making and cleanup, these tasty Grilled Shrimp Foil Packs are a definite must enjoy!

My goal for the recipe box here at My Organized Chaos is to share not only new recipes that I recently fall in love with, but easy tried-and-true go to’s that my whole family enjoys. Time and after time and through the years.

When my fellow foodie group of bloggers and I set out to feature our favourite ‘garlic’ recipes this week, I immediately knew which recipe I’d make. It’s one that we have often, crave, is so easy and is beyond delicious.

This particular seafood is never made without garlic in this house, just like my Garlic Shrimp Scampi or this delicious Creamy Garlic Tuscan Shrimp. I’m pretty certain that this food wouldn’t be the same without being cooked in garlic and of course butter, they just go together so well.

This recipe takes only minutes – we all got to appreciate that no matter what kind of day it is. From special occasion to the everyday, this is one you’ll make time and time again.

Yet, I’ve been asked a few times how I make my garlic shrimp. Truth is, it’s made by memory and I don’t even have it written down for myself. So, after writing it down for a couple of friends recently, I thought that perhaps others could use it too. That’s where you come in!

How do you make garlic shrimp?

Garlic Shrimp takes only a few ingredients: shrimp {you can use cooked but I prefer the large uncooked}, garlic, butter, fresh parsley and salt and pepper to taste. I love simple recipes that don’t require a ton of ingredients to purchase!

I cook mine on a frying pan on the stove, so you only need one-pan to make this. And yes, the shrimp bathes in buttery goodness.

Garlic Shrimp can be served as an appetizer, just use toothpicks and enjoy. You can also serve it as a side, say, with steak. Mmm. Yet, I also make this as a topping over Fettuccine Alfredo, and there you have Garlic Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo!

My girls and I absolutely love making Garlic Shrimp, and they request it over Fettuccine Alfredo all the time. They prefer it over a chicken variety, which says a lot because they adore chicken dishes.

So good! Enjoy!

Garlic Shrimp

This Garlic Shrimp takes few ingredients and is ready in 10 minutes. A yummy appetizer, side to steak or as a topping over Fettuccine Alfredo.

Ingredients

  • 30 large shrimp, peeled and deveined {I buy the frozen bags at the grocer, which are 400g-500g bags}
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced, crushed and minced
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
