Fairies, friendship, adventure and saving the pixie dust – it’s a new story for Tinker Bell and friends in Disney’s The Pirate Fairy!
You really should have heard the screams of joy when I showed my girls that The Pirate Fairy arrived in the mail for them to review. They had been waiting and waiting {most impatiently} to see this film after first seeing the previews. Being huge fans of the other Tinker Bell movies {truly, I think these DVD’s are close to being worn out}, this one was wasn’t going to be missed.
Synopsis: From the world of “Peter Pan” comes “The Pirate Fairy,” a swashbuckling new adventure about Zarina (voice of Christina Hendricks), a smart and ambitious dust-keeper fairy who’s captivated by Blue Pixie Dust and its endless possibilities. When Zarina’s wild ideas get her into trouble, she flees Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock, who make her captain of their ship. Tinker Bell (voice of Mae Whitman) and her friends must embark on an epic adventure to find Zarina, and together they go sword-to-sword with the band of pirates led by a cabin boy named James (voice of Tom Hiddleston), who’ll soon be known as Captain Hook himself.
We watched Disney’s The Pirate Fairy for the first time just as our Spring Break was starting. It was snowing a ton and bitterly cold, so it really was the perfect time to snuggle in for this movie. The girls loved seeing the fairy friends again, and meeting the new one joining the clan. Since it’s pirate themed, I know that young boys will like this movie as well. Who doesn’t love a good pirate story?
They were entirely silent during the viewing and just muttered ‘so good’ when it was over. Evidence is in the repeats though, Disney’s The Pirate Fairy has been watched at least 3 times since then.
With laughter, heart, magic and thrills, “The Pirate Fairy” sets sail {in stores} on April 1, 2014.
Anyone else have children that simply adore the Disney Fairies?
Disclosure: I was provided with product to facilitate this post, opinions are my own.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and
gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her
ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know
this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
