Despicable Me 2

In case you haven’t noticed, everyone has gotten a little Minion crazy. In fact, they were running all over the place on Halloween! I’m not surprised though, they are cute and funny – and it’s all because of the movie Despicable Me 2 was such a giant hit!

We didn’t see Despicable Me 2 in theatres, yet when a Blu-ray Combo Pack arrived on our doorstep for review before it’s Dec 10th release. As expected, the minion craze increased in our house. The girls were thrilled, being huge fans of the first movie. So, we settled in on a cold Fall night to watch.

Gru, his adorable girls, and the mischievous Minions are back with a cast of unforgettable new characters in the blockbuster sequel to the worldwide phenomenon. Just as Gru has given up being super-bad to be a super-dad, the Anti-Villain League recruits him to track down a new criminal mastermind and save the world. Partnered with secret agent Lucy Wilde, Gru, along with the wildly unpredictable Minions, must figure out how to keep his cover while also keeping up with his duties as a father.

I kept hearing that people liked Despicable Me 2 more than the first film, and I have to agree on that one. While we’ll always like the first being the great introduction, the second does a fabulous job at continuing the story. It’s a must-see for sure! As a Mom I adore how Gru would do anything for his girls, like dress up like a fairy {we’ve all done that, right?!}.

The girls loved the purple minions and the new character, Lucy. We all laughed many times during the film, and have watched it a couple times since it arrived. Think ‘Christmas Gift’ with this one, folks!
