Monopoly Empire Game

One board game which I have loved since I was a kid, is Monopoly. In fact, I can still say that today, it’s my ultimate favourite. Not that I’m a property collecting shark, I do tend to lose the game more often than not. Yet, it’s just always a fun time playing this game, so I’d choose it again and again.

Recently we tried out a new game for review, Monopoly Empire!

It’s the classic fast-trading property game with a brand new twist! When you play Monopoly Empire you’ve got a tower to fill with billboards. Buy your favorite brands when you land on their brand spaces, and slide your billboard into the tower. Every time you pass GO, you collect the current value of your tower, so every brand you buy makes you richer! You can hit the top sooner if you buy an office, so start wheeling and dealing and build your way to the top in Monopoly Empire! Monopoly and all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro. Ages 8 and up. 2 to 4 players.

Includes gameboard, 4 Towers, 6 Tokens, 30 Billboard Tiles, 6 Office Tiles, 14 Chance Cards, 14 Empire Cards, Money Pack, 2 Dice and Game Guide

This version is kinda fun without all the hotels and houses scattering across the board. This is one of the reasons we haven’t played much lately, I’ll just say there are two 5 year old reasons why we haven’t. This version makes less stressful with littles around, due to the lesser number of pieces.

The game itself is modern with all the top brands to buy from McDonald’s, Coke, Hasbro, Carnival and so on. Also, I find that the game is a lot shorter then the other versions, again possibly because of not having to collect so many structures for your property.

For all reasons, this is a great version for my oldest daughter and I to play. I’m happy to see the day when I can play Monopoly with one of my kids, and I’d definitely reach for this version as a great starter. In fact, this is a version that the twins could most likely play!

For ages 8+ {2-4 players}, Monopoly Empire can be purchased wherever games are sold
{msrp $24.99 CAD}

    I love Monopoly and purchased the digital edition where there is no money only debit cards because I remember how scattered the money became when I was younger. This one sounds like something I would love. We also have an edition that you can set the board up differently making it smaller and easier for younger ones to play.

    I used to love playing Monopoly as youngster with my older brother but it did take hours and I’ve not played it in years. My grandchildren would no doubt love this when they are a bit older.
