EPIC: This Film is in Stores Now!

EPIC is a movie that we took the twins to see in theatres. The storyline interested us, being unique yet along the lines of a film they’d love. They really did, yet it was the fact that I really liked this movie! I chatted with my husband on the way out of the theatre, about how we just had to have EPIC when it come into stores. I decided it was one of the best animated films I seen this Summer.

Why? the colour in this film is beautiful, it really depicted nature well. The storyline is sweet with some action and each character had such a strong personality. I left the theatre wanting to see this movie again.

A BLU-RAY + DVD + Digital copy of EPIC was sent to us for review, a Monday highlight for us all. Not only a chance to watch this on our family movie night on the upcoming weekend, yet it was also the first time my oldest was going to see it. She recognized it immediately from the commercials.

It was great to watch this again at home, and I was happily surprised that the vivid colour was just as great on our TV as it was in 3D at the theatre. Sure, ‘things’ don’t pop out at you, yet the colour and depth of the film was just as magical. That, and there’s something to be said about cuddling in and watching a movie at home – bliss!

From the creators of Ice Age, the year’s funniest, most exhilarating animated adventure comes home as EPIC debuts on Blu-ray Combo Pack, Deluxe Edition Blu-ray, and DVD this August 20 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Synopsis: Transported to a magical world, a teenager (Amanda Seyfried) is recruited by a nature spirit, Queen Tara (Beyoncé Knowles), to help the “Leafmen” save their existence – and ours – from evil warriors. The whole family will love this fast-paced thrill-ride, with its astonishing animation and all-star voice cast that includes Colin Farrell, Oscar® Winner Christoph Waltz, and Steven Tyler!

Disclosure: I was provided with a sample to facilitate this post, opinions are my own.
