Classic Disney Films: 3 New Re-Releases Out!

A couple weeks ago my twins celebrated their 5th birthday. How timely it was to get 3 new Disney re-releases on Blu-ray, in the mail for review! The 3 classic Disney films we received are: The Sword In The Stone, Robin Hood and Oliver and Company. So, you can bet they were wrapped up and gifted to my twins on their special day.

Of course the girls were completely thrilled, as they always are when we get new Disney films to watch at home. I especially like them as well, for the feelings of nostalgia it brings. I mean, I watched these as a kid and now I get to watch them {remastered} with my own kids?! Crazy and sweet at the same time.

When the twins opened their gifts, the adults watching were buzzing as well. Some recall taking their kids to see them in theatres, and the younger adults vividly recalled where and when they first seen each film. Some in attendance immediately noticed that these titles weren’t even in stores yet. Busted!

The day is here folks, the chance to add to your Disney library and get The Sword In The Stone {50th Anniversary Edition}, Robin Hood {40th Anniversary Edition} Oliver and Company {25th Anniversary Edition} for yourself or for a gift.

Wait, did you catch the remarkable edition for each? With each Disney re-release, I am amazed that so much time has passed since the debut. Proving popularity then, now and into the future – get your copies before they are sealed back into the vault!

SwordInTheStone50thAnn

Disney proudly presents the 50th anniversary edition of a spellbinding and beloved animated classic. Conjure up magical family fun with the humor, adventure and Academy Award®-nominated music (Best Score – Adaptation or Treatment, 1963) of The Sword In The Stone – now on Blu-ray Combo Pack for the first time ever!

Take an amazing journey with a young orphan named “Wart” and the extraordinary wizard Merlin. According to legend, only someone with the purest character and inner strength can pull the enchanted sword from the stone and claim the throne of England. Armed with newfound confidence and the power of friendship, Wart discovers his destiny and learns the best magic is the kind you find inside yourself!

RobinHood40thAnn

To commemorate its 40th anniversary, Disney proudly presents the unforgettable animated classic Robin Hood on Blu-ray for the first time ever. Experience all the fun, thrills and celebrated music (Academy Award® Nominated Music for Best Original Song “Love” in 1973) of this legendary adventure with perfect picture and sound!

Join Robin Hood, his trusted companion Little John and his hilarious band of Merry Men as they outfox greedy Prince John to save the good people of Nottingham. Dashing from one daring deed to the next, Robin won’t rest until he wins the hand of Maid Marian and restores King Richard to the throne. One of Disney’s most beloved movies is even better on Blu-ray Combo Pack!

Oliver and Company25thAnn

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of a Disney classic with the stunning Blu-ray debut of Oliver And Company, featuring perfect picture and sound. Relive this charming animated adventure, packed with excitement, fun and unforgettable songs by Billy Joel, Bette Midler and Huey Lewis.

In the heart of New York City, Oliver, a mischievous orphaned kitten, is befriended by Dodger, a carefree pooch and his ragtag family of misfit mutts. Life gets even better for Oliver when he is adopted by a lonely little girl named Jenny. But when tough guy Sykes and his Doberman sidekicks try to keep Jenny and Oliver apart, the spirited kitten and his newfound friends discover the meaning of courage and find a homewhere they truly belong.

Aren’t they? I know with all certainty that we will always have our Disney movies, even when others come and go.

Robin Hood was my favorite movie as a kid. Used to drive my brother crazy because that was the only movie I ever wanted to rent from the video store (you know, back in the stone ages). He bought it for me for christmas several years ago so he must have forgiven me. 😉

Oh I recall renting movies, I was a regular!
My friends and I used to ‘play’ Robin Hood and reenact the scenes. Remember those times like they were yesterday!

Me too!! I missed out on Snow White though, trying to find a copy after it goes back in is difficult – and super $$$. The best time to get them is while they are out!

I’m not sure exactly why but this website is loading very slow for me.
Is anyone else having this issue or is it a issue on my end?
I’ll check back later on and see if the problem still exists.
