I’ve talked a lot lately about Back to School this last week, yet it’s the topic on all our minds and voices. Whether you are excited or sad about the event – we all have a common issue on our hands. Being prepared!
You got the clothes {or at least a few basic essentials}. Supplies are purchased and waiting to be sent to school. Perhaps all that is left is to stock up the fridge and pantry for those school lunches.
While I’ll wait until a day or two before to load up on lunch meat, breads, fruits and vegetables – pantry snacks are something that I stock up on beforehand. This way I can concentrate on just the pantry needs, lessening the chance of forgetting something. As well, that’s less shopping I’m doing the day before.
Shopping this way before a big event lessens the stress and helps me to be more prepared, so if you haven’t shopped this way before – give it a try!
Thanks to Mom Central Canada I recently had the chance to try out a new product: Mott’s Fruitsations + Veggies fruit snacks. Available in two flavour combinations {Berry and Assorted Fruits}, they are made with various fruit concentrates, as well as carrot concentrates. The box contains pouches for easy snacks and inclusion in that lunch kit. Each pouch is: 80 calories, 0 grams fat and 100 % DV for vitamin C and 4% DV for vitamin A.
Since my girls love their fruit snacks … and I have been known to snack a pouch out the pantry from time to time as well, we were curious to give them a try. After all, we have probably tried all the others on the market, so why not see how this ones fares?
Verdict: LOVE. The taste is sweet like you’d want yet each fruit-shape in the packet has a distinct flavour. Speaking of shapes, my girls liked these, conversing on which ones they had in their hand and announcing their favourites. I found these perfect for when the girls asked for candy and sweets at home, they were just as happy at the offer of these. Also, we took them with us to the pool one hot afternoon, and made a great snack to take on-the-go.
The Mott’s Fruitsations + Veggies fruit snacks are gluten-free, dairy-free and nut-free – which is something I can’t say all the other brands offer. While I do send raw veggies and dip with the girls in their lunch kits, I have to admit those are the ones that are most likely to return half-eaten. Since these fruit snacks also contain veggies, it’s just one more tricky way to get a bit more into them.
The inclusion of veggies plus the great taste of these – yeah, they’ll be found in my pantry more often.
Visit the Life Made Delicious Facebook page and you can get a coupon for $0.50 OFF MOTTS Fruitsations + Veggies. On that page you’ll also find a contest to win $500 gift cards {3 winners}, so make sure to enter before September 8th.
Disclosure – I am participating in the Mott’s Fruitsations & Veggie fruit snacks Blogger Campaign by Mom Central Canada. I received compensation as a thank you for participating and for sharing my honest opinion. The opinions on this blog are my own.

Will definitely be trying these out as we all like fruit snacks in this house

I do the same with stocking up on pantry snacks beforehand so it’s one less thing to worry about. It does create the possibility of getting into those snacks before school starts and then needing to stock up again, though haha.

Forget just the kids – I would completely snack on these! haha! 🙂

I’m of two minds about these veggie snack being in candy form. That being said if you have a child who refuses to eat veggies at all then I guess it’s a good idea, hmmm if they’ll eat them that is..lol
