Like most families, Fisher-Price is a brand that met my kids when they were first brought home from the hospital and it’s also seen them grow through the years. At any given time, you could walk in my front door and instantly spot a Fisher-Price product or two. Any parent will agree that it’s a lasting brand that has been with generations as they have grown.
How about in your car?
Sure there’s Little People under the seats and between the seats, I’m sure. Yet the brand also has a car seat!
The Fisher-Price Safe Voyage Grow-With-Me Car Seat can be used by your child from 22 pounds forward facing and like the name implies, it grows with your child.
It has a 5-point harness that can be used up to 40 pounds, then up to 100 pounds, with seatbelt as a high-back or as a backless booster seat.
My first impression of the seat was one of ‘wow, padded!’. Whether you have a little one new to convertible seats or a preschooler that’s been numerous ones, any parent will instantly take a liking to all the soft padding. After all, happy kids = happy drive.
Check out all the features of the Fisher-Price Grow With Me Car Seat:
- Headrest with deep side wings for improved side impact protection
- Insert keeps babies snug and comfortable
- 5-point harness tightens with one hand
- Non-slip shoulder pads
- Three harness height positions for groups 1,2 and 3
- Height-adjustable head support
- Built-in belt guides for safe, comfortable fit
- Padded arm rests
- Wide, comfortable seat base for growing children
- Mesh storage pocket
- Cup holder can be used on both sides
- Removable, hand-washable cover, insert and harness pads
The seat itself is also very lightweight, ideal for those that have to do the car-transfer all the time. You’ll be grateful that this one is relatively light as compared to other brands.
I also like that the headrest os wider, allowing for more growth. I’ve had issues with past seats which crowded the shoulders, making it so uncomfortable for the kids. This one is roomy where it needs to be. Did I mention happy kids = happy drive? 🙂
The Fisher-Price Grow With Me Car Seat retails for $124.86 and can be purchased at Walmart in Canada.

I’ve always loved car seats like these. The one we have for our toddler now is so bulky and hard to put in (and take out of) the car. I think we’ll check this one out for her. Thanks!

Most are getting heavier and heavier, aren’t they? This one is so light!

I didn’t know that Fisher Price made car seats, either. We are at the point of buying my son a bigger seat, will have to check this out.

I love the idea of “growing ” car seat. It’s way too expensive to buy 3 of them for one child.

I always had “growing” seats for my son. It just makes more sense. I didn’t know about Fisher Price car seats, I wonder if they made them back then?

What a great carseat! My SIL is having quadruplets, so this would be perfect for her! Could you image having to buy 3 different car seats for 4 babies!

WHAT?!?! Quads! OMG, that is awesome! Congrats to her and the whole family!

I love Fisher Price as a brand and always have. We still have our Little People toys. I can’t part with them and some day I imagine my grandkids will be able to play with them. But car seats, well that’s something new. It looks like a nice one and a good price point too. Light is good because at that level and age you need to move the seats around a lot. Looks like a great option.

This looks like a really solid seat and you usually can’t go wrong with Fisher-Price. My boys will be transitioning soon so I will definitely check this out.

This is an awesome car seat, great that it can be used up to 100 pounds. The price is excellent and looks so safe. My niece is expecting again and this just maybe the shower gift.

My wife and I were just talking about our sons car seat, I love that this 1 is good for 100 lbs, no more wasting $ every year for a new car seat 🙂

Wow, this looks like an awesome car seat and great price too. We were in a rush to buy a seat and just went straight to toys r us. We ended up spending over $200 on her car seat, didnt realize there were others just as good for a cheaper price.

I wish they had ones like this when my girls were little. my oldest always got car sick even just going down the road, so the lining was ruined when my 2nd came along. poor thing had to use it because we couldnt afford to get a new one. now they look like comfy seats.

Looks like a great car seat. How is your daughter that is in the seat?
Thanks 🙂

I meant to say how old is she. Thanks again.

Thanks for the review! I’m looking to get this car seat, but I’m really interested in how wide it is. I can’t seem to find it anywhere and I need a thinner car seat (like the diono) in order to fit in my car. This one appears to be more compact in the pictures online, but you can never tell. Any help is appreciated! 🙂

Please feel free to go all out and buy a new
one before the program was to work. What if there were certain roads, call them metro Los Angeles, it would actually twist up the chassis a little bit darker so we can put words in his mouth.
