Traveling with Kids, Thomas Cook Kids First Program!

I am no stranger when it comes to traveling with kids. The first time my kids flew, was for a two week all-inclusive to the Mayan Riveria, and the twins were only 18 months old. The second time? I flew across Canada with all 3 kids {by myself!}, at that time the twins were just over 2 years old.

So, I can say with no uncertainty that it’s the little things that make travelling with kids, a whole lot easier. While it can be daunting to downright scary to travel with kids, success is all in the prep-work and the follow through, my friends!

travel-blogger-my-organized-chaosHave you heard about the Thomas Cook Kids First program? It really does help you organize that chaos, so that everyone enjoys the vacation, from start to finish.

The Website:

This Kid Reviewed, Parent Approved Program is one of the best layouts I’ve seen in vacation searching! First, narrow your location and up comes a chart that easily displays the family-friendly amenities of each resort in the Caribbean, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Mexico. This is crucial, since you want to know what each resort offers and match it to what your family {and more importantly, the kids} will need.

Can you see that it even displays which resorts accomodate families 5+? YES!

I’ve most likely searched on every travel and vacation site out there, yet this search method on Family First Vacations could very well be the the easiest and fastest. Part of the struggle is narrowing down options, which is fairly simple using this chart.

Booking Advantage:

Book a Thomas Cook Kids First Vacation, and you’ll get a special Thomas Cook Kids First Package in the mail, which is a $500 value.

It includes:

  • $50 prepaid VISA gift card
  • $25 Indigo gift card
  • $25 Shoppers Drug Mart gift card
  • 1 yr subscription for Today’s Parent magazine
  • Free Seat Selection
  • Free Airport Lounge Pass
  • Free Kids First activity book
  • Park ‘n Fly Savings

What’s the big deal? Well, my secret to a happy flight and vacation {though it’s not rocket science} is to stock up on small, entertaining things for the kids. So, with that Indigo gift card, get a book or two for your children.

With the VISA gift card, use it for a pre-flight meal or to get that last minute bathing suit before you leave. The Shoppers Drug Mart gift card is perfect for little toiletries, snacks and sunblock for your trip. Todays Parent? Reading for the flight or during your stay {cause I know all too well that magazines are read more when taking the family, than novels}.

A no-brainier is the activity book, Free Seat Selection and Airport Lounge Pass – peace of mind, guaranteed relaxation and making things easier for everyone. All of it, including the Park ‘n Fly discount, saves you money and hassle.

So, from the exciting search right down to being prepared in your beach bag, the Thomas Cook Kids First Program as a good thing going for family travel. Kids first, cause if they aren’t happy, no one is! 😉

While on the site, make sure to check out the Kids First Travel Blogger Contest. Submit a video review of your Kids First vacation experience, for the chance to Win a trip for four to the Grand Bahia Principe in the Mayan Riveria! Speaking from experience, your kids {and you} will love this location!
