Gator Golf Game for Preschoolers

Have you seen the Gator Golf Game for Preschoolers?

I cannot wait until my girls ‘get’ board games. The ones they’ve had up until now, the pieces are either lost or end up being used for other purposes. I either find memory cards in all corners of the house, or little ‘men’ pieces tucked into beds of dollhouses.

At their age, they want to play, yet don’t truly understand how games work and all end up being sneaked out of their room and played with in the way they know how. So, not how they are intended. Pretty soon I have pieces and tiny balls all over the place and the game is soon thrown away. I try not to play the ‘I can’t wait until…’ parenting game, yet I honestly cannot wait until I can sit down and play board games ‘for real’ with all 3 of my kids.

So, when HASBRO recently sent them Gator Golf, I was thrilled. Finally a game they would understand, and couple play with even without me on security detail.

First off, it requires no batteries, so right off the bat I’m stoked. The game comes with the Gator with snap-in tail, 2 putters, 2 golf balls and instructions. So, you can see right here why this game is great for my twins or those with 2 young children.

Like golf, putt the balls into the gators mouth and if it goes in, the gator flicks the ball back with its tail. There’s a cute Golden Trophy and sink-3-balls-and-win rules, yet it’s also good for just taking turns and practicing. That’s what my girls do right now. Plus, they see who can stand back the farthest and get it in, so it’s teaching coordination and concentration at the same time.

Right now the girls play this game in the house, yet it can easily be taken outdoors in the Summer months as well. So, remember this when looking for outdoors games this Spring.

Suggested for ages 3+, get Gator Golf at any store that sells HASBRO board games. It has a ARV of $24.99, yet with continual sales and $5 off promos on cereal boxes {I’m a fan of these}, there’s plenty of ways to get a great price. In face Sears.ca has then on for $19.99 right now.

I just bought the orange Gator Golf (Current version) at Toys r us for simple weekend fun exercise indoors, that’s what I will use it for. You probably have the newer version from Hasbro (Green reboot version from 1994. The original 1994 Gator was also Green). Both versions are the same gameplay only difference is the Gator color. This is perfect for kids and adults alike to get into simple real casual mini golf gaming for minutes at a time without spending hundreds on a Wii System with Wii Sports or Kinect Xbox 360 motion controls just to get exercise and glued to a HDTV; Gator Golf is the cheapest alternative, yet cool. If you have more than 2+ Gators setup and yard of green felt (you can get these at a crafts store, you can actually create a miniature golf course in your living room. This game is fully customizable and hackable for the DIY Community as well.
