I made Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms for the first time this Christmas Eve, it’s a great appetizer recipe that everyone devoured. They were gone really fast!
Wait, did I say bacon?
Yep, this recipe is bite sized bacon goodness, not light on the cream cheese. And yes, I don’t include calorie information for a reason. Just close your eyes to eat and enjoy every last bite. 😉
- 3/4 of a 8oz package soft cream cheese
- 1/2 cup real bacon bits cooked
- 1/2 green onion chopped
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 12 large mushrooms stems removed to form little cups
In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
Stir in the bacon, onion and garlic powder.
Spoon into mushroom caps.
Broil on top rack for 4-6 minutes or until heated through.
