To get kids really excited about reading, it’s a good idea to get books according to their interest. Chances are if they are fans of characters or movies, they’ll dig right into a book in the same theme. And, it’s just fun ,right?

Scholastic Canada has a great selection of Star Wars books and activity books for fans! Here’s a couple of popular ones, great for stocking stuffers this year. Ho Ho Ho!

Klutz Star Wars Folded Flyers for ages 8+

Introducing Star Wars® Folded Flyers, paper starfighters that will speed through your living room as well as they do in outer space. That’s because each design has been subject to rigorous testing by the Aerodynamics Team at Klutz Labs. And they look as great as they fly, because they’re made from full-colour, custom-designed papers — representing galactic vehicle exteriors, authentic to the last bolt. With five copies of each design, kids can have a fleet of Y-wings and X-wings at their command. By Ben Harper & the scientists of Klutz labs.

Star Wars: A Galactic Pop-up Adventure by Matthew Reinhart {all ages}

Matthew Reinhart has crafted another spectacular pop-up book for George Lucas’s epic Star Wars movies! The New York Times bestselling pop-up artist and engineer has created a brand-new 3-D experience, packed with a variety of novelty features — pop-ups, working light sabers, pull tabs, and other interactive features.

This new look at Stars Wars explores elements, the characters, stories, vehicles, droids, and more in the three prequel movies and The Clone Wars. It’s a stunning book that will impress fans of all ages and gives a whole new perspective to the Star Wars universe.
