Sleepytime Herbal Tea

Wintertime comes with its fair share of problems, and I think Sleepytime Herbal Tea can help.

Wait, am I really complaining about the season. Again?

Yes I am!

It’s darker for most of the day and I’m more tired and sluggish than usual, pass the Vitamin D bottle please! Yet, it doesn’t stop there, because my body works backwards. I hit the snooze on my alarm clock more than the repeat button on the girls’ fave cartoon. Then, I drag myself around all day only to be  wide awake at night! I lay in bed thinking of that to-do list and trying not to get up to do things I forgot. Morning come way too quickly. Rinse and repeat.

If this sounds like you as well, we are not alone. Fact is, Three million Canadians have problems sleeping – which can affect overall health and well being. Winding down before bed is a key step to a good night’s rest.

Lately I have started drinking a nightly cup of Sleepytime Herbal Tea, along with trying to not have a cup of coffee after 2pm. In the evenings, I like the settling cup of tea to help me unwind and relax {its caffeine-free chamomile, spearmint and lemongrass}.

Since I take my tea black, I notice the spearminty taste, yet especially so when it’s steeping. In front of the fire, with a favorite TV program… ahh, that’s my bliss after a day of chaos.

A package is great for yourself, or for stocking stuffers this Christmas season. Here’s an idea: pair Sleepytime Tea with a holiday mug and a candle, to make a little token of appreciation. Grandparents, the mailman or the neighbor that shovels your sidewalk from time to time, it’s a thoughtful gift! You can purchase Sleepytime Herbal Tea online or use the Store Finder to locate the tea in a store near you.

2012 Holiday Gift Guide Giveaway

This year, Sleepytime celebrates 40 years of helping Canadians create evening calm and comfort. 10 of my readers will relax this busy holiday season with a Sleepytime Tea Prize Pack including:

An evening routine I sort of ‘inherited’ from my dad is enjoying a cup of Sleepytime Tea before bed. It’s so much more than just the tea…it is all part of a ‘getting sleepy’ routine that really does make me ready to go to bed and get a good night’s sleep. But I love the tea!!

I have never tried the Black Cherry Berry tea, but it sounds like something I’d love. I <3 Celestial Seasonings!

    Thanks!

I am a ‘morning person’ and usually get up quite early without an alarm clock but then I have one daughter…you have three! You are a wonderful Mum and your girls are beautiful. I love reading your blog and seeing the girls grow 🙂 Not an entry but you make my morning 🙂
