FurReal Friends Baby Butterscotch, My Magical Show Pony

Once in a while I am introduced to kids toys that make me think, ‘where was that when I was a kid?’ That my very first impression when I took FurReal Friends Baby Butterscotch, My Magical Show Pony out of the box for my twins.

Truth be told, I opened up the box while they were at school, to have it ready and waiting when they got home {they are not patient box openers!}.

Baby Butterscotch is adorable. And a pony. How could it get any cuter?

Then I started playing with the pony…

He comes to life with facial expressions {eyes blink and ears twitch} and lifelike pony sounds thanks to sensors that respond to touch and by voice. It comes with a carrot that he actually nibbles on when placed to his mouth. Brush his soft coat, and the legs are posable so he can stand, sit or lay down. Then, when snuggled, the pont snuggles you back and falls asleep with gentle snores.

Wait, did I just admit to snuggling a toy pony when all my kids were at school? Yes I did! See Butterscotch in action here and tell me this isn’t the cutest!!

.
It really does have a lot of features similar to having a pet, and it’s great for those that won’t be buying their kid a pony anytime soon. Me, Me!

So, after I played with Baby Butterscotch for a while, I decided that now is really not the time to give this to the twins. This is just too much of a ‘wow’ gift to be given right before Christmas. So, after one more pet on the neck, Butterscotch went back in the box and is now wrapped and hiding in my closet. They’ll be getting a pony for Christmas this year!

My girls already have GoGo My Walkin’ Pup {my review is at the link}, and they still drag that dog around everywhere and dress him in the silliest of outfits. Fun fact: If I’m ever missing a lot of hair ties and barrettes, check GoGo’s ears. There will always be a dozen on each. Always.

Baby Butterscotch does take 4 ‘C’ batteries yet if he’s anything like the GoGo Pup, you needn’t worry. I only changed pup’s batteries 3 times in the entire year. That’s pretty good!

You can get Hasbro’s FurReal Friends Baby Butterscotch, My Magical Show Pony wherever FurReal friends are sold. Suitable for ages 4+, it has an ARV of $129.99. So, when you catch it on a great sale {and you will, I promise}, saddle that pony and take it home! {har har}.

I got one for myself and my niece and I’m so glad. She can ever for one of her regular sleepovers and found mine. In her whole life there has never been a toy she spent the whole 36 hours with. Furby came and woke me up in the morning. She started asking how and where to get one, she has never done that in her whole seven years. Luckily I got the word out to everyone I had one stashed away for her for Christmas because she went home so excited. Only problem is she usually likes to keep her toys in the three different places she spends the majority of her time at. I had planned to keep furby here but I think that will be a problem and now It’ll drive her mom and dad crazy. Definately an auntie gift
