Nightlights for Kids, AnimaLamps

My two youngest kids used to have nightlights in their room, yet once the twins transitioned from cribs to beds, we had to drop the idea altogether since it was a risk being at their level. My oldest has one, and they’ve asked for one many times {and needed one}, yet I hadn’t been able find a night light that met all of my needs – Attractive {yes, it counts}, functional and safe.

You knew it was coming – there’s a product for that!
MOBI Technologies makes some adorable AnimaLamps, featuring 3 designs: Monkey, Bunny and Giraffe. For the twins’ room, they now have the Monkey AnimaLamps.

It plugs into the wall, yet has a long cord so it can be placed high up. Yet for those that want to be cord-free for very little ones, it’s actually cordless and completely portable. Meaning that it charges when plugged in and then can be taken anywhere. An easy button turn it on and off, and the LED lights can be very bright when the head is raised, or dimmed when the head is in the downward position.

For now, its a night light and it’s moved around a whole lot unless the girls want to have a light in their tents. My daughter suggested that she could use it as a reading light, which is true, yet you’d have to be careful since the LED lights are VERY bright when the head is raised. So, when the girls are using it as a brighter light for reading or playing, I use reminders to not stare right into the light {heh}.

The MOBI AnimaLamp does meet the night light needs for the twins’ room, in actually every way. And, it’s a lot of fun for kids, so a cute decor item too. Yes, kids can get really REALLY excited over getting a night light!
