Scandal Season One

Scandal Season One. When a new series is first aired, I admit to judging it on shows made by the same creator and writers #guilty. When Scandal first made it’s debut on TV, my ears perked at the mention of Shonda Rhimes. She’s the mastermind behind two of my favorites, Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice. I had full intentions of catching this series, yet somehow the season passed and I didn’t catch one episode. Thank goodness for it coming out on DVD, right?!

Synopsis: From the creator and executive producers of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice” comes a drama revolving around the life and work of a professional crisis manager and her dysfunctional staff. A former consultant to the President, Olivia Pope dedicates her life to protecting and defending the public images of America’s elite. After leaving the White House, the power consultant opened her own firm, hoping to start a new chapter – both professionally and personally – but she can’t seem to completely cut ties with her past. Slowly it becomes apparent that her staff, who specialize in fixing the lives of other people, can’t quite fix the ones closest at hand – their own.

Released on June 12 onto DVD and in stores now, this show stars: Kerry Washington {“Ray”, “The Last King of Scotland”}, Henry Ian Cusick {“Lost”}, Columbus Short {“You Got Served”}, Guillermo Diaz {“Weeds”}, Darby Stanchfield {“Mad Men”}, Katie Lowes {“Super 8”}, Tony Goldwyn {“Ghost”}, and Jeff Perry {“Grey’s Anatomy”}.
