Ever tried a Apple Kiwi Smoothie?
Don’t hate me, but I spent 3 weeks of the last month, on vacation. With a week in Mexico then 2 weeks in Florida, I’m very used to the tropical drinks and fruit smoothies {and the sunshine, who turned out the lights?!}. In fact, smoothies are now ‘the norm’ in my day, and even though I’m back to still-chilly-Canada – I need my daily smoothie!
Yet, I’m not on vacay anymore and I can’t justify spending money everyday buying them. Plus, I like to know that the ingredients include fresh fruits and other good stuff. So, make my own I will!
Fruit smoothies are excellent source of vitamins, can be very healthy {I won’t tell if you add that splash of rum}. Plus, if you are craving that sweet treat, having one may prevent you from running to the nearest chocolate bar.
Thanks to the recipes found at Life Made Delicious, I spotted a new smoothie recipe which I have enjoyed making. Simple ingredients and quick to make, make one as you are heading out to sit on the deck one afternoon.
Want an even richer taste? Add a tsp of jam!
Cheers!

This is actually something I would be able to DRINK (nix the yogurt) and I do LOVE me my smoothies, too 🙂
Thank you for the recipe! I’m definitely going to have to try it when I’m feeling better.

Just the right time to see this, I’ve got some Kiwis on the bench that need eating!

That looks pretty tasty. I tend to make pretty boring smoothies, usually frozen strawberries, ice, a little fruit juice and a little plain yogurt. And if I am feeling a bit jazzy and the kids are in bed, then perhaps half a cooler instead of fruit juice 😉

Sounds delicious! 🙂 I have never thought of adding jam for added richness..
Have you ever tried adding some spinach to the smoothies? You really don’t taste it (honest) but get that added healthy bonus
