Weleda Calendula Diaper Care was my secret weapon when when my twins were in diapers. They were very prone to diaper rash and these thick barrier creams provided protection and relief, and I think this is mainly due to the inclusion of Calendula.
I was recently asked if I’d like to try a couple more Weleda Creams, mainly for my own use this time. Considering the dry Canadian Winter has taken a toll on my skin, I was curious to see if my top choice for my babies, held up to my own skin as well.
My fave has got to be the Calendula Weather Protection Cream; made to protect from harsh weather such as rain, cold and wind. For adults or kids {it’s technically in the baby care line}, the pure beeswax and lanolin are like the first line of defense when it comes to protecting the skin. It may look runny and sticky, but don’t let looks deceive you! It soaks into the skin well with no residue, leaving a smooth finish. I have used it on my hands as well as the kids’ cheeks before they go outdoors. I have to say, I’m quite the fan of this cream!
My only complaint with Weleda products is that most contain Almond oil. It has wondrous properties, yet for those with severe allergies {like my husband}, it’s not safe for our use, exclusively. I have been using these creams when he is away at work, yet just to be safe, they are put away and out of reach when he’s home.

I would love to win this because I love Weleda! I use their Skin Food hand cream which is a great thick healing cream that works wonders on hands that are extremely dry, cracked and sore. I also use the Almond face cream, another great product.

I’d like to win the Weleda line because I’m constantly on the lookout for products that will work with my sensitive skin, and baby products are generally what I end up purchasing because there are usually fewer ingredients that would be a problem.
