The Muppets Wocka Wocka Value Pack

Earlier this year I was recovering from surgery and my hubby took our 3 girls to the theatre, to see Disney’s The Muppets. At the time I was happy to have some quiet time to recover, yet I was also so sad that I was missing out on some of my favorite characters from my childhhood! My family came home raving about the movie, especially hubby as he is a long-time fan as well.

Yet, we recently got the The Muppets Wocka Wocka Value Pack, and this time I was excited. Finally, I got to see it! The film certainly didn’t disappoint, from the colorful muppet characters, to the storyline and of course, the cameos! Not only does it star Jason Segel and Amy Adams, but I liked the addition of Jack Black, Selena Gomez {my daughters’ fave!}, Neil Patrick Harris, Zach Galifianakis, Jim Parsons {Big Bang Theory} and so many more.

It wouldn’t be The Muppets without some hilarious songs, especially “Man or Muppet” which actually won an Oscar this year. The value pack includes the Blu-ray, DVD, Digital Copy and a code to download the soundtrack {which the kids loved!}. And of course, there’s always the entertaining deleted scenes and bloopers and a history feature on the blu-ray.

As well, it has a really cool feature! When you hit pause, it goes into intermission with the muppets doing funny scenes. At first I thought my pause button didn’t work, but then figured out that it was a feature of the disc. It certainly kept the kids amused while I refilled the popcorn bowls!

Here is a synposis of the film, or check out

On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend, Mary (Amy Adams), from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze Muppet Studios and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the studio, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have allgone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.

I love a movie can take me back to my childhood and still interest my own children. Though I didn’t get to see it on the big screen, it’s a wonderful addition to my library. And, I get to have the best of both worlds, make popcorn and lounge in my housecoat while watching! Keep you eyes out for this title in stores, on March 20th!

If we’re talking Muppet show Muppets my favourite would probably be Animal, but if you include Sesame Street Muppets it’s Grover all the way.

  15. My favorite Muppet. That is hard choice because I live them all in their own way. I grew up watching the muppets and seeing this move in theaters brought back some great memories. What is sad though is that when I went to see this movie there was a kid in front of me that was like mom who is that muppet. I was thinking you must be kidding me. I want to win this DVD not just for me but for my kids if I have any or for any kids in the future so that I can keep the muppets alive and not torn down like in the movie.

  16. My favorite Muppet is Miss Piggy. The refined layer is oh so thin and underneath is Primal Piggy. Love her.

  17. My fave muppet is beeker because he reminds me of my husband. My husband does a great impression.
