It may not come as a huge shocker, but I’m not a Football fan. Yet, when presented to do a little something fun this Superbowl Sunday with #cbias, I was game! {pun intended}. My goal {ha!} was to shop, create, cook and party. In that order. Why not I say?
For some Superbowl festivities, I chose a recipe from the Orville Redenbacher’s website. I chose one for the ‘Just for Kids’ section, yummy Peanut Butter Popcorn Poppers.
Unfortunately, due to the fact that you cover your hands with oil and mix the peanut butter/popcorn mixture, I couldn’t take photos during the actual ‘making’ part. Eww, the last thing I need is peanut butter on my camera!
Yet, the girls helped and we all had fun along the way. Simple ingredients + 15 minutes = delicious bite sized snacks. I have to admit, they were all gone before the Superbowl game even started!
During the same shopping trip to get the ingredients for our snack, I took the opportunity to also get craft supplies to make a mask for Isabelle’s puppet show for brownies.
Recall my attempt at Ninja Parenting last Manic Monday? Yep, I needed to get that mask made! I found a great selection of Elmer’s supplies to make the mask, yet again, photos ‘during’ were a little hard since I had to hot glue everything onto the mask.
I say we girls made a pretty great mask!
Wait though, the actual fun is in the shop, right?
Make sure to join me as I tell my Shopping Story in a Google+ Photo Album, in includes photos from making that list to diving into the Superbowl treats. While I may not be a huge Superbowl fan, I did have the chance to make the day fun for myself and the kids. All this was to ring in the day with the #PepsivsCoke Twitter party going on right now.
Which side am I on? Take a peek through my Google+ photo album and you’ll find out – and don’t forget to join in on the twitter party! I’m about to relax with my Coke Zero, hope everyone has a great Sunday!
