Schick Hydro Silk Razor

02/28/2012 By Tammi 6 Comments

When I started shaving, I opted for the no-name disposable pink razors; which hardly work, don’t keep a lasting smoothness and cause so many cuts. Maybe this is why ‘Shaving’ formed into a bad word to my ears. I know I’m not alone in my distain. As a busy Mom of 3, my daily to-do list is big enough and something like Shaving is low on the priority list, especially in the Winter months.

Then a product came my way that made it a little more desirable:

The Schick Hydro Silk Razor! The first thing to notice is a sleek look – which helps, right? The handle took years to design, allowing for comfort and effortless in order to get the job done. This handle just makes the job easier – cutting back on time? One point for Schick.

It also has a water activated moisturizing system, to shave close without irritating the skin {do you have sensitive skin? This one’s for you!}. Allowing your legs to feel smooth for much longer, it also means that one ‘swoop’ and you’re done. No going back over the area – just in case. Again, time saver!

It comes with an extra razor head…

…and the best idea this Mom has seen – a mount via suction cup, to hang the razor on the tub wall. Not only will I not use the excuse, ‘I’m already in the shower, too late to get out and hunt down the razor”, but for SAFETY! I can’t tell you how much it makes me nervous to have razors around the kids, especially considering how many people leave it on the tub surround {eek!}. Hang it up high Mama’s, it’s safe up there!

Now I realize that before I put too much thought into disliking and avoiding the task, rather than finding a product that made it a no-brainer. This Mom has perfected the 5 minute shower ‘quick-before-the-kids-cause-chaos’. With the Hydro Silk, I can cross off another to-do item in just a couple minutes. Shaving, we have now called a truce!

My girls are older now so I hadn’t thought about how that little suction cup is also so great to keep little one’s safe!
    Love that!

Yes, that’s a great bonus if you have kids. And, just for keeping at a convenient reach – I’m more prone to stay up on the task if it’s handy!
