Rubbermaid Storage, Glass Containers with Easy Find Lids

I am no stranger when it comes to Rubbermaid Storage Containers, having a whole cupboard-full in my own home. For leftovers, separating foods and for packing lunches – I use them daily. But now Rubbermaid has a new product in their lineup,  Rubbermaid Glass with Easy Find Lids.

Yes, I said ‘glass’.

These can be used for all your container-like needs, yet they add one more option – cooking. The  Rubbermaid Glass with Easy Find Lids are oven-safe up to 425 degrees. Even for just re-heating in the microwave – I just feel better about reaching for the glass over the plastic.

The design of the   Rubbermaid Glass with Easy Find Lids allows them to be stackable too. I like the lids on these since with one push they are on strong and don’t warp. The lids have a black leak-proof seal, so much like glass canning containers, they are on with no worries of leaking.

Myself, I like the glass alternative the most for cooking, heating and storing those stain-causing foods {ahem, pasta sauce, I’m talking about you!}. Dishwasher safe, easy to clean, BPA -free with no chance of staining? Yes, please!

Disclosure: I received product to facilitate this review, all opinions are my own.

I do not like using plastic to store leftovers. It stains easily and, I think, adversely effects the taste of the food.

As much as I’d like to say that holiday leftovers would be put in these and sent home with my daughter, I’m afraid that although holiday leftovers would be put in these, they’d be staying at my home! (She’d still get some holiday leftovers, but in the plastic containers that would clear the space for these lovely glass containers!)
