Looking for Holiday Recipes that get wows in three easy steps?
Once November starts it seems like Christmas is here as fast and hard as a Winter snowstorm. Unless you are armed early, you might find yourself overwhelmed and stressed by the time all the holiday entertaining is in full swing. One way to prepare yourself is to find a great site with holiday recipes, to refer to in those chaotic times when you need one – stat!
Yet, you also want fast, delicious and takes little time from your busy day, right? Pillsury {with a little help from the dough boy} has created an online space full of tasty yet simple recipes that could soon become your holiday helpers this season!
Within seconds of browsing Pillsbury’s 3 Steps to Wow, I found at least a half-dozen featured delights that I want to try next week. And, it was the variety of recipes was what wow’ed me the most, offerent different takes on some common ingredients. Let me explain:
… You have a holiday pot-luck lunch to attend at work, and you have a package of Pillsbury* Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookies on hand. But, you’re thinking that ordinary cookies won’t do for this event, and need something more unique. Something that will ‘wow’ people….
How about this dessert, made from that same Pillsbury package that many have on hand:
Caramel Double Decker Bars Recipe
1 pkg (510 g) Pillsbury* Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookies
1/4 cup (50 mL) caramel sundae topping
2 tbsp (25 mL) all–purpose flour
1/2 cup (125 mL) granola cereal
1/3 cup (75 mL) chopped nuts
Method:
- STEP 1: Heat oven to 350°F (180°C). Press half of cookie dough on bottom of greased 8-inch (20 cm) pan. Bake for 12 minutes.
- STEP 2: Combine sundae topping and flour; stir in cereal and nuts. Spoon over dough in pan. Crumble remaining cookie dough over top.
- STEP 3: Bake 18 to 20 minutes and cool.
