Reviews & Giveaways

I was recently introduced to Blurb, a site where you can make your own books. I was also given a credit to use at Blurb and decided to make a photo book of our Spring vacation to Cuba. They have many options for photobooks including cover types, sizes {etc}, but this site is also fantastic for offering up so many more choices when it comes to making books. And I think that is the crucial thing to remember about this site – the options!!

With blurb you can write your own cookbook, write and have a novel printed, create photo books, turn your blog into a book {!}, create fun photo and story books for your kids, and even make business books showcasing your company. I really wish I had more time to make a cookbook, using Blurb. It would be wonderful to have a nice collection of my Mom’s recipes with photos of her and my family baking and at special occasions. Not only for myself, but think about what a great gift that would make!!

Once you have your completed project at Blurb, you can share, print or sell it. So, others can easily purchase your Blurb book right form the site.

To make your Blurb book, you have 3 options for design:

  1. For professional users, this PDF to Book option is full-on creativity. It gives blank Adobe® InDesign® templates.
  2. Booksmart: for photos and text, this has template options for design
  3. Bookify: customizable for photobooks – you have full control over the layouts

blurb-photo-book-review-giveawayI’m happy with my Blurb photobook, it actually came in record time too. The pages are very thick too, which is nice when little hands are exploring the book. The prices start at just $13.95 per book which is a nice price to see for photobooks {they can be costly if you don’t pay attention!}. Mine was a simple process yet this site has so much more to offer, get creative!
