Miracle-Gro Kids Terrarium

If you are an avid reader of My Organized Chaos, you’ll know that I love gardening. As soon as Spring peeks through our long cold winters, I am busy planning my gardens and planting seeds. And, I’m happy that Isabelle shows such a huge interest in gardening as well, she’s always right there with me. Yet, my daughter is the hands-on kind of gal – she likes her own section of the garden that she works on herself. Just for little green thumbs, Miracle-Gro has a Kids Terrarium, and Isabelle was thrilled this Spring when she got one for review.

The Miracle-Gro Kids Terrarium gardening set is a great way to create your own plant habitat! After your seedlings have begun to sprout, you can enhance your landscape with decorative rocks and other elements (not included) and view your garden up close from all angles. The dome-shaped lid lifts off for watering, while the tray detaches to allow for easy transplanting. The Terrarium set also includes Gro-Pod containers with Gro-Mix, seed packets, plant marking stakes, a planting stick, Gro-Chart and plant care instructions. Adult supervision recommended.
Retails for $12.99 USD.

The Miracle-Gro Kids Terrarium comes with everything needed to plant vegetables indoors. It even comes with non-toxic soil, by way of Gro-Mix. Isabelle, at 6, was able to plant her own seeds and eagerly watched them grow. Also included is information on gardening and a worksheet to track plant growth. It was like a science experiment for her, she did learn so much about growing vegetables. We just transplanted her vegetables outdoors too, now she can care for them even after they have outgrown the terrarium. I’m sure next spring we will be using this set again, with our own soil and seeds – what a great product for kids! Mine sure loved having it!

  1. What a great idea! I’m sure the kids would love to play with this – but it could probably even be used to help jump start some veggies for the garden as well!
