Schick Hydro Blast : 5 Blade Razor

My husband recently got to test out the new Schick Hydro 5 razor. Actually, I barely even caught a glimpse of the contents of the package when it came. Hubby scooped it up and ran to the shower before I even had a chance to fully inspect the razor. Though he also uses electric razors, he much prefers disposable and blade replacement razors; to get that close, clean shave. And, he’s always excited to test out new brands, so his excitement didn’t surprise me much.

Yet what did shock me, was when he came out of the shower….

Hubby: “Look, hun”, he held up his right hand, blood was dripping down his finger.

Me: “What happened in there?”

Hubby: “The Schick Hydro. It cut me, isn’t that great?!”

…..{me speechless}…..

I think you need a full explanation to this, right? I know I sure did….

Hubby: “In the shower, I took the Hydro and swiped it down my face. It glided so smoothly, with no pulling of the hairs – I assumed I’d left the cap on the razor. So, out of instinct, I swept my finger along the blade … instead of just looking down”.

{Stop the story! Really? Does he touch a burner to see if it’s hot too?}
Ok…back to the story:

Hubby: “It cut me!! The cap was off! I jumped out of the shower and looked in the mirror. I had a solid shaved line down my cheek. NO hair!”

Me: “…..ok…is that a good thing?”

Hubby: “YES! It takes at least 2 swipes from any other razor to get this close. And there is ALWAYS some pulling of the hair, you can feel shaving. I didn’t feel this. I thought the cap was on. It wasn’t – it’s just THAT awesome”.

I have to admit, as a woman I have no clue what it’s like to shave the face. Nor do I know just how important a good facial razor is. So, I’m taking hubby’s excitement on this one {bleeding hands and all}. He LOVES this razor. He annoyingly commented about his shower experience many times that day. But, it doesn’t stop there.
7 hours later, hubby continued with his review:

Hubby: “Feel my face”

Me: “Uuhhuh, nice”

Hubby: “Don’t you understand?”

Me: “No clue”

Hubby: “No stubble!”

Me: “Good for you….?” as I try walking away {lol}

Hubby: “C’mon listen….I always get growth back by mid-afternoon. Always.
I have none yet, I LOVE this razor!!”

I’d say he’s very impressed with the Schick Hydro 5. Mental note: stocking stuffer!!

The Schick Hydro 5 for men 5-bladed razor which features an ergonomic metal handle, lubricating aloe strips and a flip trimming feature that gives your skin a close shave while leaving skin smooth and moisturized. The Blast is available with a choice of three or five blades. The Hydro 5 and now the Hydro 5 Blast razors are the only razors that include a flip trimmer for precise edging in hard to reach places. The Schick Hydro Blast is available for purchase at all major food, drug and mass retail outlets across Canada and are available in three-and five-blade models for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $8.99 (Schick Hydro™ 3) and $9.99 (Schick Hydro™ 5).

He also got the Schick Hydro Shave Gel, in Sensitive {also comes in moisturizing}. It adds extra hydration, minimizing irritation during and after the shave. It also helps to keep the skin hydrated and fresh long after. My husband always uses foams and gels, and really like the scent of the Schick Hydro as well. Bonus points for great smelling!
