NutriSystem, Week 13 and Apps

Since starting the NutriSystem program, I have enlisted some of the great help that is out there {I knew I needed all the help I could get!} One tip I’d like to share with you is a handy little iPhone app I discovered and love – the free NutriSystem App! {and yes, I have my phone back again, so very thrilled it was turned in}.

Using the same login information from when you signed up at {anyone can sign up, by the way}, and you can have some great NutriSystem tools at your fingertips, anytime you need them! What features do I find most helpful about the NutriSystem app?

Weight Tracker ~ because I am really good at forgetting what the scale said last time. This is a great way to record your weight, find out your BMI and use it as motivation to stick with your weight management.

Food ~ this app allows you to Fast and Efficiently add foods to each day, meals and snacks. You can also add everyday foods or NutriSystem foods. This is my favorite feature of this app, since I it teaches me about counting calories and whether or not I can sneak in another slice of cheese {etc}. I have found that using the food tracker feature also gives me that extra push to make wise choices and not indulge on high-calorie, nutrient deficient foods. When I took some time off NutriSystem due to traveling, tracking calories really helped me better choices and prevented me from taking in too many calories.

There’s also other areas to record your exercise, keep track of water intake and measurements. There’s even an area to journal, where you can add categories for easy reference! Check out the NutriSystem App, it’s free and worth giving a try!

Week 13 results: -2.5 lbs
Total weight loss to date: -24.5 lbs

As you may recall, last week I gained 2.5 lbs while on vacation. So you can imagine that I was thrilled to step on the scale this week and see that I lost every ounce of that gained weight. I did a mini happy dance or two! I’m not sure if it was coming back to reality after such a wonderful vacation or the indulgence of food and drinks at the resort – but I just felt physically ‘blah’ last week. Within a couple of days on the NutriSystem plan – I got my energy back and felt the bloat and physical tiredness leave. I’m looking forward to this week!

  2. Where do you find the motivation? I’m really struggling right now. It’s seems I’ve hit a plateau and can’t get past it. It discourages me, which makes it even harder to stick with it.

  3. My motivation to stick with the program is just how great I feel while on it. I have energy, am in a better mood. I decided I was tired of always feeling sluggish!
    As for going to the gym, my motivation is that little chunk of time to myself each day. And again, how it makes me feel.

    What I think worked for me was adding a bit more calories for a few days, then back at it after. I think that kicked my body back into drive!

  4. You know what, I think you just gave me the motivation to get a gym membership. I forgot that I can have a little me time.

  5. It was really one of the best things I did as a Mom, Brenda.
    Time away, gives the kids opportunity to play with others … and I get a workout too.
    My gym doesn’t charge too much for babysitting at all, which is nice as well.
    We all look forward to that time each morning!

    articles? I mean, what you say is valuable and everything.
    However think of if you added some great photos or videos to give
    your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and videos,
    this website could certainly be one of the best in its niche.
