NutriSystem, Wardrobe Malfunction

As I made my way through the NutriSystem Canada Program this past week, I could feel it. I stood taller, had more bounce in my step and had more confidence. I could see definite changes in my body too. We all do it – we stand in front of the bathroom mirror each morning and take a glance at shape and tone {10 weeks ago, I looked at the lack there of, albeit}. Yet this week I took notice of my twin-tummy flattening and my arms defined from weeks of hurling 34lb kettlebells around. Though my clothes started getting looser weeks ago, I really took notice this week. Maybe it’s because some clothes were literally falling off me. Literally.

A friend and myself were on treadmills at the gym. I always do brisk walks on the treadmill, yet on this day I decided to do some interval running. Let me make mention that I decided this on my own, without a Jillian-type yelling at me to do so. I somehow found the motivation within myself to change up my routine and try something new – something hard. I ran – I ran as hard as I could. My friend next to me took notice right away, double glancing at me as if I were someone else. Then, I felt my pants falling down, and I mean not a little – a lot. I tried to run holding up my yoga pants, looking terribly funny running with all my might while grasping strongly to each side of my waistband. My friend roared with laughter, threatening to make this scene a YouTube sensation, and it wasn’t until then that I stopped. Feet on the sides of the treadmill, still holding firmly onto my pants, we both laughed so hard. And, we didn’t even care that the entire gym must have been staring. Then, she gave me a high-five and the most proud smile that a friend could give.

This week I could feel it. I realized that I can do anything.
…Even while holding my own pants up.

Week 10 results: -3.5 lbs
Total weight loss to date: -23 lbs

This week, I discovered a new favorite Supper Entree from NutriSystem, the Rotini with Meatballs and Tomato Sauce. This pasta dish has Rotini noodles, crushed tomatoes, meatballs, onions, and Italian-style seasoning with Parmesan cheese. I had this with a tossed salad one night and it was delicious. Right now this dish tied for supper favorite, along with the Seasoned Chicken Breast. Mmmmm!

Nutrisystem is providing their program free of charge for my participation in the Nutrisystem Canada Blogging Program. All opinions regarding my experience are 100% my own.

Am I just crazy for feeling sad about my too-small pants, since I just bought then 5-6 weeks ago??!

This is a good hahaha, and congratulations. You deserve to be able to give the gym a quick mooning, though I know you didn’t.
