Disney’s Tangled Blu-ray/DVD

We missed seeing Disney’s Tangled in the theater. It’s not an uncommon occurrence for us, yet still a shame since we love movies on the big screen. Thanks to Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment my daughter and I got to cuddle up on the couch this past weekend and watched Tangled for the first time.

Tangled movie synopsis:
When the kingdom’s most wanted—and most charming—bandit Flynn Rider (voice of ZACHARY LEVI) hides out in a mysterious tower, he’s taken hostage by Rapunzel (voice of MANDY MOORE), a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynn’s curious captor, who’s looking for her ticket out of the tower she’s been locked away in for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief, and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an overprotective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs. Tangled is a story of adventure, heart, humor and hair—lots of hair.

We got a copy of the combo {DVD & Blu-ray} pack to review. My daughter and I both agreed, Tangled has it all – Comedy, great music, drama, suspense. Oh, and though not a traditional prince-like fairy tale, Tangled’s Rapunzel frinds an unlikely romance with Flynn. I don’t want to give away the storyline, yet I will say that Tangled is a modern take on a classic story, and one that you’ll want to add to your collection. Tangled is Disney’s 50th Feature Film, can you believe it?!

I also have to note that I really noticed the vibrant animation in Tangled, Disney movies just get better and better! The color is stunning, which adds so much to the animated magic.

The Blu Ray/DVD copy of Tangled also has some excellent bonus features, my daughters always love the extended songs the best. These special feature full length song allows them to sing and dance along anytime they want {and saves Mommy from searching through the whole movie looking for a requested song}. As for myself, I am always interested in the making of movies and Disney animated films are no exception. So, I enjoyed the special features on the making of Tangled the most, it gives a whole new appreciation for the film. Here is the full list of special features:
