You Again Movie

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment released You Again on DVD and Blu-ray. This was one movie that I really wanted to see in theaters, yet couldn’t. This romantic comedy stars Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, Kristin Chenoweth, and Betty White {what a great cast!}.

Film Synopsis:
For Marnie (Kristen Bell), high school was a horror movie, and her brother’s wedding is the sequel when her archrival comes back to haunt her as his bride. Its nice girl versus mean girl in this hysterical reunion with the one person Marnie would really like to forget. And if that weren’t enough, Marnie’s mom (Jamie Lee Curtis) reunites with her own high school nemesis (Sigourney Weaver). Complete with hilarious, never-before-seen bonus material, You Again is one crazy comedy that’ll keep you laughing again and again.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, as I could tell just from the previews I had seen – it did not disappoint. I think everyone can relate to the plot, No matter how old you get – your high school memories always stay with you. In the story, there is so many examples of lives entwined and how the world isn’t as big as we think it is. The mom and sister in You Again have to face their high school bullies, years later. I think we all wonder form time to time, ‘what if we say X, from high school?’.

In all, this is a great movie to watch with friends, family and especially your Mom. Speaking of, Betty White is one amazing actor – and I think she’s the character I enjoyed the most and wished she had more scenes. I laughed and teared up many times, a true romantic comedy!

The combo pack includes some great features such as deleted scenes, “Ask the Cast” {surely I’m not the only one that really enjoys Q & A’s with actors}, a Funny Or Die skit and much more. The Blu-ray disc has even more special features like Blooper Dance Party {yep, a dance-a-thon, and it’s hilarious!} and even more deleted scenes mostly featuring Betty White. If you are a fan of Betty’s, you will want to see these, what a sense of humor on that woman!

  3. I enjoyed high school except for my french class. I tried so hard to conjugate verbs and roll my r’s but didn’t do so well. I managed to finish french 30 but I was certainly not bilingual. Wouldn’t you know it that in later life I would meet a great guy whose first language was french. He’s laughed affectionately at my attempts at conversational french the past fourteen years we have been together and apparently I am improving. Luckily he is very fluent in english because half the time I don’t know what I am saying in french.

  4. While highschool definately had fun aspects, I would not repeat it for anything!! Too much drama, hormones and pressure to fit in….yuck!

  16. High school wasn’t something I’d want to live over again. The only thing I liked about it was that, in my junior year, I had an English teacher who taught me how to stand up for myself. That made my senior year a bit more tolorable. It was a lesson well learned, and I am a much stronger person because of it today. Thanks

  49. Here’s an unpleasant experience: Due to a misunderstanding at an school assembly, I was paddled by a teacher who was really angry. The paddle had holes drilled in it for greater “momentum.” I kid about it now with a fellow student who was paddled with me, but that paddling could have gone seriously wrong and led to a bad injury.
