So Good Soy Milk

So Good Soy Milk is fortified with 15 essential nutrients to help maintain good health, and is an alternative to a milk beverage. Available pretty much anywhere, So Good has many varieties to choose from, and all are tasty! When compared to cow’s milk, So Good soy milk contains the same amount of calcium, vitamin D, and Riboflavin. Yet, it doesn’t have any of the cholesterol, lactose, or animal products. What I didn’t know until recently is that So Good uses only non-GMO soybeans and is made in Canada!

Thanks to So Good Canada, we recently got to try out almost all of the varieties available in stores. Of course my daughters just adore the So Good Chocolate and So Good Strawberry, but I am going to purchase the So Good Original instead of our usual variety of cow’s milk from now on – and here’s why….

Giving So Good to my family is ensuring that they get all the vitamins and minerals they need without the added cholesterol, saturated fats and calories. Switching milks to improve health, to me, is an easy choice to make. And like I said, my kids love this milk, drinking it more often than cow’s milk. So, why not?

Quick Facts about So Good Soy Beverage:

  • So Good’s soymilk is made from non-genetically modified soy protein by Identity Preservation. What this means is that a monitoring system has been put in place which controls each step of the manufacturing process — from seed selection to planting and harvesting, transportation and processing — to ensure no genetically modified soybeans enter the supply stream at any time.
  • So Good is gluten, cholesterol, animal product, and lactose free.
  • So Good Fortified Soy Beverage is a participant in Health CheckTM – a food information program developed by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
  • So Good has factories on both the east and west coast of Canada, reducing its distance to market {unlike Silk soymilk, which is shipped up from the US}

So Good provides many sizes of soy milk beverages, non-dairy frozen desserts and even single serving milk boxes. For myself, watching my intake a ton more these days, I like the Light Vanilla – it’s only 90 calories per glass and is just sweet enough to ward off any cravings for sweets with a ton more calories!

So Good Original {and the other varieties} contain so many vitamins and nutrients – don’t think for a moment you have to be vegan, lactose intolerant or have allergies to drink So Good. Whether by the glassfull, on cereal or used in baking {check out the recipes and information on the website!}, So Good is refreshing, delicious and surprisingly doesn’t scream “This isn’t cow’s milk!!’. Proof is by my daughters’ comment, ‘they changed the carton on our milk, Mom….{gulp}…..’and it’s creamy now too’. *snicker*
