New Years Resolutions. While there is excitement in a new year, and the chance to make a fresh start – I feel terming ‘resolution’ with new goals puts too much added pressure onto them. For most people, change is hard enough without added expectations to succeed only because of the date. Yet regardless of time of year, it’s always good to reflect on the past and finds ways to improve things for the future. Not for the calendar – but FOR YOU.
Let’s talk weight. Many have already made the resolution to lose weight this year. I can see the huge influx of members at my gym these last few days. It has been insane! Though I am a regular to my gym and pride myself in the fact that I do get daily aerobic exercise, I know my eating habits can be improved on. And, I know that these eating habits are the direct result of the extra weight I do carry.
Taking rein of this maddening chaos wasn’t planned as a ‘resolution’ type of thing, the timing just worked out that way. I am extremely happy to have partnered with Nutrisystem Canada this year. I have been officially inducted into the Nutrisystem family! My first 28 days of meals arrived at my house just before the Christmas holidays. Due to the tradition of gorging on rich food and lazy days not spent at the gym – I didn’t start until the New Year as to not set myself up for possible failure right from the get-go. And, I’m happy to say that this plan worked. I limited my snacking and intake of holiday treats over the holidays and for my birthday. And, while I only went to the gym a couple of times after Christmas, I’m happy to say that my weight remained constant throughout the holidays. *Phew*, bullet avoided! But now it’s time to focus on the loss. Again, I’m so super thrilled for this new journey….
I hope you join me as I blog about my experience with Nutrisystem. I will also go into more detail about the system, my past struggles and history as well – there are plenty more posts to come! I have taken my ‘before photo’ and initial weight, yet this is not something I am comfortable sharing at this point. While I am excited about getting my readers’ support and encouragement – I am not ready to fully unrobe to the universe as yet. Yet as much as I am shy about a full reveal, I am fully prepared to shout it across the net WHEN I succeed {there’s no ‘if’ – it’s a ‘when’}.
So, I have my goal and thanks to Nurtisystem, I have the help. I know 2011 will be a life changing year for me!
Now that’s the attitude to succeed, don’t you think?
Alright, who else has a weight loss goal this year? Have a plan of attack?
Nutrisystem is providing their program free of charge for my participation in the Nutrisystem Canada Blogging Program. All opinions regarding my experience are 100% my own.

I put up my first post of the new year about how I did.. would love it if you could stop by for support! I will bookmark you and stop by for encouragement 🙂 So are Tuesdays your weigh in days?

That is great.
I find that i usually make losing weight my New Years Resolution and it just does not seem to happen. I think it is also about motivaton, for me at least.
I have not had a scale for over a year and i wish i did. I would like to know how much i weigh ( i think).
I look forward to reading your blog on the progress.

I will be watching and cheering.
I’m always curious how someone with a family they have to cook for (and eat with) makes it work with pre-packaged and bought meals.
Tammi says
It’ll be an experience, for sure Chris.
So far it’s working great {I haven’t weighed in, but the process is smooth and easy!}
More details to come…
Thanks for the cheering, I need extra rah-rah’s!
