On the 12th Day of Christmas…

On the 12th Day of Christmas,
My children gave to me……

A Barbie head in a Christmas Tree!!!

I’ve gotten used to the fact that I won’t have a tree which is arranged to perfection.
And forget the fact that a glass ornament hasn’t seen my home in many years.

This is what is called a ‘reality tree’ when you live in a house of Chaos!
I even found a sock in there the other day.

I just consider myself lucky that it’s still standing at all!

Oh, that’s just awesome! I wonder if your girls still continue to dress her headless body, like mine does!

    HA that is too funny!

I must be super brave I have glass ornaments all over my tree. I have a 2 year old and a 5 year old. Then we babysit twice a week our nephews that are the same ages. They even throw soft balls in the house.

So far nothing has broken. Last year we had one break. It’s only a matter of time I’m sure.

That’s so funny! I remember putting socks and all sorts of unwanted items on the Christmas tree when I was a kid. And I know I’ve beheaded a Barbie or two in my life, not to mention cut and coloured their hair. My friend and I had some great punk rock barbies. Thanks for the laugh and the memories. 🙂

That actually freaks me out a little bit… It makes me think of the nextdoor neighbour Sid in Toy Story, the one who mangles toys. Ahhh!!!

Haha, that’s great! I don’t think my family would notice if that was on our tree, because the majority of our ornaments are handmade, so all of them are really, really different.
