Hallmark Interactive Storybooks

Trademark to the Hallmark name is cards. It’s the first thing to come to mind for me, when I think of the brand. Yet, over the years I tend to go there for the gift itself, and the card is just a beloved extra to my gifting. After all, Hallmark has quite the huge selection of gifts and keepsakes for any and all occasions! Not only that, the store in my city carries vinyl wall art and collectibles as well. When it comes to kids, Hallmark also has a new product that I think is tops – it’s the Interactive Storybooks. You may have seen the commercial – and chances are, you may have teared up watching it. There’s just something about Hallmark that tugs at our heartstrings!

Hallmark’s Interactive Storybooks are hardback story books that come with a plush buddy – Jingle the Husky Pup. Let me just add here that this adorable pup alone was a hit with my kids, even before they knew how the book and him worked together!}

How the Interactive Book and Husky Pup works::

  1. Press your Story Buddy’s ear to begin.
  2. Read the story aloud in a quiet place. Speak in a clear voice when you see the highlighted phrases.
  3. Listen as your Story Buddy chimes in with several different sounds throughout the book.

Now, for this to work properly, a clear voice must be used, which is why it works best when the adults are reading. Yet, since my daughter has just learned how to read – this is perfect for her. It reinforces her to speak in a clear and distinct voice throughout the entire story. When she does, and the Husky Buddy chimes in – it’s a great motivation to keep speaking clearly and promote reading.

This Interactive Story and Husky Buddy have become a daily favorite in my home. It’s great time spent together reading, laughing and cuddling the new Buddy in our house! You can get yours at any Hallmark.com or in stores, and it’s on sale right now!
