3M Scotch Duct Tape

So, what do you get that handy-man? That DIY’er that is always seen fixing and tinkering with something? What about Scotch Duct Tape from 3M? After all, you know it’ll be used and the quality can’t be beat. As well, for that person that really shouldn’t be doing fix-it jobs {those who are ‘all thumbs’}, this is a great gift too. I have someone in mind that is always teased that they’d fix anything with Duct Tape – what a hilarious Christmas gift that would make!

The Scotch Duct Tapes I was sent came in really handy this month, with all those parcels to send. Using 3M Scotch Duct tape allows you to use little, while still ensuring the package won’t break open. Especially with our cold Canadian winters – some tapes start to peel and freeze, lifting from its surface {never again will I cheap out and use thrift tape – eek!}

If you think like I used to, and assume that all tapes are created equal – have a look at the products from 3M’s Scotch Duct Tape line and see that there is a difference!

Scotch® Tough Duct Tape Transparent:
Ideal for discreet repairs. Superior adhesive holding power works great for bundling, reinforcing and securing lightweight loads. Its tight seal and virtual transparency make it an attractive solution for patch repairs, indoors and out!

Scotch® Tough Duct Tape Heavy Duty All Weather:
A tape that promises to stand the test of time and the worst of the elements. Made to resist any weather condition with waterproof backing and UV resistance makes it perfect for outdoor repairs and weather-proofing.

Scotch® Tough No Residue:
Strong enough to get you through in a pinch yet tough enough to stay around permanently – if you need it to. It leaves no residue or gooey leftovers to contend with for up to six months. Great for outdoor use, Scotch® Tough No Residue is ideal for securing cords, hanging signage, bundling and labeling.

Scotch® Tough Extreme Hold:
Give this one all you’ve got! Hot or cold, big or little and even extremely demanding jobs; this strong tape has a double-thick adhesive layer for maximum hold in tape-to-surface applications. Combine that with a strong, waterproof backing and the ability to handle a temperature range up to 200F, you’re dealing with the toughest of the tough.

Scotch® Tough Outdoor Painter’s Clean Removal:
Strong enough to hold for your outdoor paint job yet easy enough for a hassle-free clean up. It can handle a variety of surfaces including the rough ones and is strong enough to hang poly sheeting and waterproof so you can moisture proof and seal, too. When you’re done, take your time. You’ve got clean removal for up to 14 days for most surfaces.

Scotch® Tough Poly Hanging and Tarps:
A professional grade duct tape with high tensile strength. It’s tough enough for just about anything on the job site from general repairs, hanging and securing plywood, to repairing tarps. Its shear strength is perfect for vertical applications. This means it won’t fall down. And it is conformable for a tight seal with strong adhesive to stick around for a long while.

For jobs both indoor and out, and simple to the heavy duty tasks – trust in 3M Scotch Duct Tapes and see the difference for yourself! {available at Home Depot and Rona ranging in price from $8 to $10 CAD}.
