Some review items come through my front door that just amaze me. And, if it weren’t for the opportunity to review these items and see what they are about right in front of me, I may never have known how great they were {and thus, couldn’t tell you about them}. Take Tegu blocks for example, I wouldn’t have guessed that these blocks were as fabulous as they are unless I could have played seen them in action right before me. You see, these aren’t your ordinary blocks – these have powerful magnets inside them which allow them to be ‘stuck’ together and produce objects and creations which other ‘ordinary’ blocks simply can not.
We recently got to try out the full wooden set of Tegu Blocks and at first touch we were hooked! The wood is beautiful – you just don’t see quality crafted wood like this anymore! {more about Tegu’s awesome mission another time, I promise. It’s a beautiful story itself!}. I admit, I broke open these blocks alone and started playing with them by myself. Then, when my daughter came home from school, I introduced them to Tegu and they were just as hooked as I had quickly become. These blocks are intended for kids over the age of 3, yet my Twins {who are 2 years old} have so much fun with these blocks. Sure they aren’t making grand masterpieces {yet}, but they have so much fun trying! And, they do make their own objects and proudly show them off – and isn’t that the goal for creativity?! My daughter has gotten very good at making her own creations with Tegu blocks, she concentrates hard and lets her imagination go wild!
If you are following me on Twitter, you may have caught my #TeguLive tweets today. Starting today and running everyday until the end of December, there is a live feed at www.tegu.com – where you can see a real builder making objects and masterpieces in live broadcasting video stream. But, it gets better, since you can @Tegu on Twitter and request something for the builder to create {you can request on Facebook too}! My daughter requested a Tegu Castle today, and it turned out amazing! It had a drawbridge and a flag too! I have to admit, the Twins and I watched #TeguLive all afternoon today, they were incredible! The Twins really enjoyed watching the builder create right in front of them, their own Tegu blocks in hand, trying to do it themselves. Lots of people were watching, tweeting along and blown away at what the builder coudl make. I think my favorite for today was the T-Rex made with Tegu blocks!
To truly ‘get’ what Tegu blocks are all about, you just have to watch #TeguLive! And, if you go to the site and they are done for the day, there are videos of what they previously made, for you to watch. And, make sure to get your requests in! When the builder creates your request, @Tegu will tweet you with the link to the video, so that you can watch it over again and show your family and friends. If you have Tegu blocks, make sure to send them photos or video of your masterpieces too, you may be highlighted on #TeguLive!
I think this is a very exciting and interactive way for everyone to see how Tegu works. ‘Cause sometimes, seeing is believing!
Check out Tegu Live at www.tegu.com, and I’m sure you’ll be hooked. Make sure to get your request in too, the builder even made Lady Gaga today! And, there just might be a fabulous giveaway coming up too…. just saying, you may want to familiarize yourself with Tegu!!
Ok, I really want my readers to see this – here’s the easy way but you can see the incoming tweets and requests from the site….
