Mixbook Customizable Photo Book

Before I had kids, I used to scrapbook all the time. I didn’t particularly like to scrapbook, yet loved the final outcome and they you could tell a story and portray a feeling for a photo album. Today, you can make a customizable and fully personalized photo book {scrapbook style} online, with Mixbook.

I recently made a 20 page, 11×8.5 hardcover landscape photo book using Mixbook {and had a great time making it}. The site is very simple to use, and they offer a great selection in templates, themes and pages. As for books themseves, there are 3 sizes of photo books to choose from and both hardcover and softcover. There’s an auto-fill feature or you can select your photos and drop them into the spaces one by one. There is no software to download at all, just upload your photos from your computer, or sites like Flickr and Facebook.

Like scrapbooking, yet without all the tools to store and place by hand, you can add stickers and text to your pages, even customizing their look, to suit your preference. I made a ‘Summer 2010’ photo book and decided that if I can’t get around to making one photo book per month, I can do each season plus special holidays. It’s an easy and beautiful way to preserve memories without the bulk of an impersonal photo album!

Mixbook allows you to create beautiful photo books and scrapbooks. A great way to preserve memories for yourself or gift to a loved one. As a person who loves to make photo book for others, trust me, it beings tears to the eye! As well, Mixbook has another feature which is nice – embed your finished book onto a webpage or email the link to a friend. Easy sharing!
