JC Toys Dolls Berenguer

A year ago, I featured JC Toys in my 2009 Holiday Gift Guide and I welcome them back again this year. This time I’d like to introduce you to their newest doll, Lola. JC Toys Dolls Berenguer, Lola, is available for purchase just today, and is JC Toys’ most popular pre-order item of 2010. My girls welcomed Lola to our home with open arms. The Twins treat Lola much like they would a real baby. Since it’s larger and more lifelike than all their other dolls {with the exception of the Sleepytime Bambini from JC Toys}, they tend to interact with Lola in a very different manner than they would other dolls. For instance, they carry her in a proper manner {not drag and throw her in a wild fashion, like other poor baby dolls in this house}. Sure all their other dolls are pushed in strollers and dressed up daily yet they feed Lola and talk to her – almost like another sister.

You see, Lola is made to look and feel like a real baby. Her features are sculpted by an artist in Spain, so that their entire bodies mimic like-like qualities from their facial expressions to their belly button and skin folds. Isn’t she adorable! As well, Lola is anatomically correct, which is actually a good thing for the Twins right now since they are starting to potty train and ‘notice’ things like this. Yet, if your preference is for non-sexed dolls, JC Toys has those as well.

Lola came to us in a swimsuit with an adorable hat, sandals and a starfish to play with. Yet, JC toys also has great outfits for their dolls too. We got the Pink Knitted Sweater Combo, which comes with a shirt, bloomers, hat, socks and a sweater. This keeps Lola nice and warm, especially this time of year. We also got an adorable gift pack of onesies which actually includes 2 rompers, 2 caps a bunting and a diaper. This set came in a beautiful gift box, which is great for gift-giving. Even though these outfits are made for the 18″ dolls at JC Toys {and Lol is 14″}, they still fit her very nicely. Even though the Berenguer dolls have sculpted bodies, dressing and undressing these dolls is easy, thanks to a lot of stretch in the clothes. At 2 years old, my Twins are able to dress Lola independently, which is very nice!

JC Toys’ Berenguer dolls are perfect for either the doll collector or for the wee one in your life. There is such a great selection of sexed and non-sexed dolls and many accessories to go with them. Word to the wise, subscribe to their newsletter {sign up is on the main page of the site} and you’ll get news on sale items. I have noticed that the sales at JC Toys are not measly, but would please any shopper looking for a deal!
