I enjoy a good story about miracles. You know, the ones that warm the heart, brighten a day and make you believe! In the past, I have reviewed some fabulous titles in the Chicken Soup for the Soul collection, yet I particularly like the latest – Chicken Soup for the Soul: A Book of Miracles. I have found myself picking up this book, especially on those tough, long days. And, like all books in this collection, this one is written in short story form, so it’s perfect for taking a bit of time for yourself and sneaking in a read whenever you can. The story that comes to mind most is the one about a woman who was listening to a TV program which talked about miracles. The discussion was finding a white feather at just the right time in life, and that discovery renewing faith and hope when they needed it most. This particular story gave me goosebumps, as I have had many of my own ‘feather moments’. It’s so true that if you walk through life with your eyes open to the possibility, there are miracles everywhere.
Chicken Soup for the Soul: A Book of Miracles reminds you to find significance in the everyday mundane, and to never overlook even the most routine events in life. There may be a miracle before your very eyes! This book is very inspirational and renewing, one that I think anyone can appreciate and enjoy!
